Role Purpose: The Regional DLCM Lead is responsible for the execution of DLCM services within a specific geographic region (such as Americas or EMEA). They ensure all device lifecycle activities (procurement, deployment, support, recovery, etc.) are carried out effectively in their region, in alignment with the global DLCM strategy and standards. This role provides local leadership and accountability for delivering the DLCM service to the regional business units.

Key Responsibilities:

● Regional Planning & Forecast Input – Forecasts demand country-wise and creates regional device demand plans (for refresh, new hires, break-fix) and provide input to global forecasting. Manage region-specific scheduling of deployments (timing of device rollouts in each country of the region) in line with the committed global plan.

● Procurement & Inventory – Coordinate regional procurement operations: ensure timely placement of orders to OEMs/distributors for devices needed in the region and track shipments. Maintain buffer stocks at regional dedicated locations to meet new hire and break-fix needs within SLAs. Work closely with the central procurement/PO team to align on purchase orders and receipts.

● Deployment & Day-1 Readiness – Oversee device staging and deployment in all countries of the region. Ensure dedicated sites are prepared for Day-1 device readiness for new joiners and that devices are enrolled in MDM (Intune/Jamf) per policy during deployment. Monitor that each new device’s receipt is acknowledged (ASN-to-GRN) in ServiceNow and incorporated into the asset database.

● Device Returns & Disposal – Manage offboarding device recovery processes in region: coordinate pickup/logistics for returned devices, ensure timely triage (redeploy, repair, or dispose), and update ServiceNow HAM/AMDB records accordingly. Oversee IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) activities with local vendors for certified data destruction and disposal, and ensure residual value credits are processed when applicable.

● Regional Performance Management – Monitor regional DLCM performance against SLAs – verify that ≥95% of new hires in region receive devices by Day-1 and ≥90% of leavers’ devices are recovered within 15 days. Address local issues affecting performance (such as delays at a specific country’s customs, or site-level process gaps) and drive corrective actions. Provide regular reports and metrics from the region.

● Regional Stakeholder Liaison – Act as the primary interface with the clients regional and country IT teams. Communicate deployment plans, buffer stock arrangements, and any regional issues to the client’s local stakeholders. Ensure high satisfaction by proactively managing local expectations and promptly resolving escalated incidents or service requests within the region.

Stakeholder Management: The Regional DLCM Lead coordinates regional check-in meetings to align internal teams and local client contacts on upcoming device rollouts, forecast changes, and any risks. The Regional Lead hold country-level performance reviews to manage depot activities and ensure adherence to global standards in each country. They maintain close working relationships with the clients country IT managers and local OEM logistics contacts to facilitate smooth operations.

Delivery & Operations Accountability: This role ensures successful day-to-day execution of all DLCM processes in the region. The Regional Lead will supervise local depot activities for tasks like device receipt, imaging, configuration, and distribution to end-users. They must ensure consistent application of defined processes (e.g., using the global asset management database (AMDB) and Nexthink analytics to track devices), and maintain the region’s buffer stock at the agreed levels (e.g., ~1,500–1,700 devices globally across dedicated locations). During initial rollout projects, Regional Leads also support transition activities – e.g., helping to onboard the DLCM processes in their region, coordinating knowledge transfer from any incumbent providers, and ensuring readiness of regional dedicated locations for the new service launch.

Metrics & KPIs: The Regional DLCM Lead is measured by regional contributions to global KPIs. Key metrics include on-time device provision for new hires in the region (Day-1 device delivery SLA), device recovery rate after offboarding (15-day target), buffer stock availability vs targets for their region, and accuracy of asset data updates from their region (AMDB records). The Regional Lead must also meet any region-specific delivery targets (e.g., deploying X devices per quarter per the rollout plan) and ensure timely submission of regional performance data (reports, forecasts)

Skills & Experience: A successful Regional DLCM Lead should have a strong background in IT service delivery and asset management. Essential skills include operational planning, logistics/supply chain coordination (especially knowledge of customs, shipping, and warehouse processes relevant to their region, and competence with IT service management tools (particularly ServiceNow for asset and request management) and device analytics tools (Nexthink). The role requires strong project management skills for coordinating deployments and transitions at scale, as well as coordination of regional depot activities through the onsite support team and vendors. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are critical for engaging with local client contacts and ensuring alignment with the global team.

The Salary for this position will be 100,000 to 115,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
