About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Full Stack Engineer with 7+ years of experience developing modern, scalable enterprise applications. In this role, you will design and build cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, React, and AWS while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality applications, driving technical excellence, and contributing to architectural decisions that support business growth and innovation.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build responsive and user-friendly web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to application architecture, code reviews, testing strategies, and development best practices.
  • Support CI/CD processes, troubleshoot production issues, and help ensure application scalability, security, and performance.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • 7+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs in distributed application environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, including sprint planning, estimation, and delivery activities.

These will help you stand out:

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized application deployments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices.
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience supporting large-scale modernization or cloud transformation initiatives.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between $110,000 to $117,000 per year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
