Job Summary
This hybrid role seeks an experienced Product Test Engineer with strong expertise in data migration integration mainframe testing and Japanese language translation to English. The engineer will design and execute complex test strategies for enterprise applications ensuring data integrity functional reliability and seamless system interoperability while collaborating with global teams and supporting property and casualty insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Drive end to end test strategy design and execution for complex enterprise products focusing on data migration scenarios integration workflows and mainframe testing to ensure robust and defect free releases to production environments
- Coordinate comprehensive test planning that covers functional regression and system testing while aligning test scope and timelines with stakeholder expectations to support predictable high quality delivery in a hybrid work setting
- Execute detailed test cases for data migration activities validating record level accuracy reconciliation outcomes and transformation rules to safeguard critical business data and maintain regulatory compliance for global clients
- Perform systematic integration testing across multiple applications and interfaces to confirm that services messages and data flows operate reliably and consistently contributing to a seamless experience for business users and downstream systems
- Conduct thorough mainframe testing including batch jobs screen validations and backend processing checks to identify defects early and uphold stability and performance of legacy platforms relied on by large enterprises
- Analyze test results and defect trends using structured methods to prioritize issues collaborate with development and business teams on resolution and continuously improve test coverage to elevate overall product quality
- Utilize understanding of Japanese language and perform accurate Japanese translation to English for requirements specifications test data and defect descriptions enabling clear communication with Japan based stakeholders and teams
- Collaborate closely with product owners business analysts and operations teams to clarify requirements uncover edge cases and refine acceptance criteria ensuring that testing activities reflect real world usage and business priorities
- Apply property and casualty insurance domain knowledge when available to design meaningful test scenarios that mirror underwriting policy administration claims handling and reporting processes enhancing relevance and reliability of test outcomes
- Maintain rigorous documentation of test plans test cases execution evidence and defect logs within enterprise tools supporting audit readiness transparency and knowledge sharing across distributed global teams
- Support hybrid work model effectiveness by proactively communicating progress risks and dependencies through virtual and onsite collaboration channels thereby ensuring continuous alignment despite geographic and schedule differences
- Contribute to continuous improvement of test frameworks processes and reusable assets by suggesting enhancements mentoring peers and adopting modern practices that increase efficiency and reduce cycle time for future releases
Qualifications
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in data migration testing including mapping validation reconciliation techniques and defect analysis to ensure accurate movement of large scale datasets between legacy and modern platforms
- Exhibit strong experience in integration testing for enterprise systems using structured approaches to validate interfaces api like interactions messaging patterns and complex data exchanges across multiple applications
- Bring solid hands on background in mainframe testing covering batch processing job scheduling transaction verification and screen validations with attention to performance reliability and operational risk mitigation
- Show working capability to understand Japanese and translate Japanese content to English with high accuracy supporting requirement analysis test case creation communication with Japan stakeholders and defect reporting
- Apply analytical and problem solving skills to interpret business requirements design comprehensive test scenarios identify gaps and propose pragmatic solutions that enhance product stability and user satisfaction
- Leverage familiarity with property and casualty insurance processes when available to build targeted test cases around policies coverage endorsements billing and claims scenarios providing added confidence to industry clients
Certifications Required
ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level or equivalent software testing certification relevant to enterprise product and data migration testing
