Cognizant is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator for overseeing complex hybrid model initiatives that optimize data management using Delphix and Oracle Database while aligning technology demand with business priorities in cards and payments. Role focuses on orchestrating scalable solutions enabling resilient operations and ensuring secure compliant data usage that advances company objectives and delivers reliable value to customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive continuous optimization of Oracle Database configurations for geospatial workloads, tuning queries, indexes, and storage strategies to reduce latency and improve responsiveness for map based applications
  • Manage enterprise geospatial data platforms that rely on Delphix and Oracle Database to deliver consistent and reliable mapping services to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring optimal performance and scalability across hybrid environments
  • Coordinate with product and engineering teams to define geospatial data models, standards, and governance practices that ensure data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance across all mapping solutions
  • Implement robust Delphix data virtualization and masking strategies for geospatial datasets, safeguarding sensitive attributes while allowing agile development and testing of spatial solutions
  • Lead planning and prioritization of database and data virtualization initiatives by evaluating business value technical feasibility and resource capacity to ensure that the most impactful work is scheduled and executed effectively.
  • Drive optimization of Delphix data virtualization platforms by defining environments templates and policies that reduce provisioning time improve data refresh cycles and support efficient testing for cards and payments applications.
  • Manage Oracle Database operations by guiding configuration tuning backup and recovery strategies to ensure stable performant and secure data platforms that underpin critical transaction processing and reporting.
  • Coordinate hybrid work collaboration between onsite and remote team members by establishing clear communication routines shared artifacts and transparent progress tracking so that demand related tasks are delivered consistently during day shifts.
  • Monitor demand pipeline health by reviewing intake queues capacity forecasts and delivery milestones to identify bottlenecks and implement mitigation actions that maintain predictable throughput and reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to governance risk and compliance expectations by embedding controls in demand workflows so that data operations remain auditable resilient and aligned with regulatory obligations impacting financial services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technology operations and business teams to provide insight into demand trends capacity utilization and delivery outcomes while promoting decisions that enhance customer experience and societal trust in digital payments.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to team members on best practices in demand analysis environment management and data provisioning so that collective expertise grows and the organization can respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Coordinate change and release activities associated with Delphix and Oracle Database environments by aligning schedules risk assessments and validation steps to minimize service disruption and preserve data integrity.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Possess extensive hands on experience working with Delphix platforms including environment setup provisioning refresh workflows and data masking to support complex application testing and development scenarios.

  • Demonstrate strong Oracle Database expertise encompassing design implementation performance tuning backup and recovery to maintain robust and efficient data stores for mission critical workloads.
  • Exhibit proficiency with incident and change coordination practices ensuring that modifications to Delphix and Oracle Database environments are tested communicated and deployed in a controlled manner.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Annual compensation between $90,000-$115,000 is being offered for the role. Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:
