Job Summary

The Automotive Intermediate Mobile Apps Validation role focuses on designing and executing comprehensive test strategies for mobile applications and automotive verification and validation solutions ensuring high reliability and quality across Android IOS and hybrid platforms. The analyst will collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model perform day shift activities support occasional travel and contribute to safe and efficient digital mobility experiences for end users.


Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end test planning for mobile applications across Android and IOS platforms by defining clear test objectives coverage scope and acceptance criteria that align with product requirements and automotive verification and validation standards.
  • Execute functional regression and integration tests for mobile solutions using structured test cases and exploratory approaches to validate critical user journeys performance behaviors and compatibility with diverse devices and operating system versions.
  • Develop and maintain mobile test automation scripts using industry appropriate tools and frameworks to increase repeatability reduce manual effort and support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for multiple product releases.
  • Coordinate closely with mobile application development teams to clarify requirements provide early feedback on design and implementation decisions and ensure that testability and quality considerations are embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Analyze test results and defect trends with a focus on root cause identification and risk assessment then document detailed findings in test reports that support informed decisions by product owners and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with automotive verification and validation specialists to design scenario based test suites that reflect real world vehicle usage connectivity conditions safety considerations and regulatory expectations within the automotive domain.
  • Perform compatibility and usability testing of mobile solutions integrated with automotive systems by validating connectivity flows data exchanges and user interface behaviors under varied environmental and network conditions.
  • Provide clear defect documentation in the defect management tool by describing reproducible steps observed behaviors expected outcomes and potential impact thereby enabling efficient triage and timely resolution by development teams.
  • Support hybrid work coordination by using digital collaboration tools to share test assets maintain traceability between requirements and test cases and uphold transparency of test progress for distributed project stakeholders.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of testing practices by identifying gaps in coverage updating test standards to reflect emerging mobile technologies and recommending process enhancements that strengthen product quality and delivery predictability.
  • Contribute to the company mission of safer and smarter mobility by validating that mobile and automotive solutions operate reliably protect user data and deliver intuitive experiences that positively impact society and customer trust.
  • Participate in day shift project ceremonies and cross functional reviews to present test status highlight quality risks and suggest mitigation strategies that keep releases on track while maintaining agreed service levels.
  • Adapt to occasional travel requirements to collaborate onsite with client and internal teams gain firsthand insight into production environments and refine test approaches based on direct observation of system usage.


Qualifications

  • Apply practical experience in mobile testing by designing structured test suites for Android and IOS applications that address functional accuracy performance stability and device specific behaviors leveraging at least three years of focused project work.
  • Utilize hands on expertise in mobile test automation to build maintainable automated regression packs integrate them with build pipelines and interpret execution results to guide quality decisions for multiple product versions.
  • Draw on mobile application development understanding for Android and IOS to review implementation details anticipate potential failure points and propose test scenarios that challenge edge cases and complex interaction flows.
  • Use domain experience in auto verification and validation to align test strategies with automotive standards define realistic driving and usage scenarios and ensure that mobile components interacting with vehicles meet reliability expectations.
  • Demonstrate strong command of English read write and speak capabilities to communicate test insights collaborate effectively in hybrid teams and produce clear documentation that supports audits and long term knowledge retention.


Certifications Required

ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent software testing certification focused on mobile or embedded systems is preferred
