Core Responsibilities: Strategic Oversight & Governance

· Global Compliance Architecture: Serve as the definitive Subject Matter Expert (SME) on global customs valuation, HTS classification, and multi-jurisdictional trade agreements for proprietary technology.

· Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary consultant to executive stakeholders on international trade law, FCPA/Anti-Bribery mandates, and regional tax implications.

· Regional Demand Integration: Engineer adaptive logistics and compliance processes that synchronize with regional supply/demand shifts, ensuring the seamless integration of Technology components worldwide.

· High-Value Asset Protection: Oversee the specialized nuances of moving sensitive, high-value proprietary hardware, ensuring local standards are met without compromising speed-to-market.

· Cross-Functional Synergy: Lead high-level collaboration with Legal, Finance, Tax, and Engineering to institutionalize "Compliance by Design" across the global product lifecycle.

· Audit & Risk Mitigation: Design and execute a rigorous global audit program to proactively identify systemic gaps and enforce gold-standard compliance.

· Team Leadership: Direct a global, multi-tiered team; fostering a culture of high-agility and continuous skill evolution through structured second-level reviews.

Global Operational & Tactical Excellence

· Trade Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research into emerging market regulations to facilitate entry into new global locations.

· Advanced Due Diligence: Execute comprehensive Due Diligence and Denied Party Screening (PII) in strict alignment with Global Legal requirements.

· SLA Management: Orchestrate the approval of high-priority trade documentation (CI, PL, AWB) and Dangerous Goods shipments within a strict 24-hour global SLA.

· 3PL & Partner Governance: Manage and hold accountable Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers and customs brokers through sophisticated performance reporting and business reviews

· Fiscal Accountability: Manage global trade budgets, focusing on cost-optimization and the mitigation of demurrage, fines, or unnecessary tariffs.

Experience & Professional Profile

· 7+ Years of Senior Leadership: Proven track record in Global Trade Compliance, specifically managing high-value, proprietary hardware/technology across diverse geographies.

· Global Footprint: Extensive experience managing compliance operations in NORAM, LATAM, APAC, and EMEA, with a nuanced understanding of "Green Country" protocols.

· Academic Excellence: University degree in Law, International Trade, Engineering, or Economics (Master’s preferred).

· Regulatory Mastery: Deep expertise in FCPA, Anti-Bribery, Export/Import Controls (EAR/ITAR), and various Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).

· Technology & Data Savvy: Experience implementing AI-led or automated compliance tools to de-risk operations.

· SAP Expertise: Hands-on experience with SAP Logistics and Compliance modules to manage global trade and regulatory processes effectively.

· Complex Problem Solving: Ability to navigate the "gray areas" of emerging market logistics where regulations are fluid or undefined.

· Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional ability to communicate complex legal/compliance risks to non-technical executive leadership
