Job Title: Network Engineer
Job Location: Malaysia
This service is responsible for Network & Security operations. Supporting Security baselining, Firewalls, VPN, Data Center, Campus LAN, Wi-Fi & WAN. This service requires to work with the rest of network peers globally. Must be familiar with Network Firewalls, Security products, Network segmentation – particularly in financial services institution, on complex multi-tenant infrastructure. Exposure to Public Cloud network and on prem private cloud environments is an advantage.
Requirements
Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocols
Hands-on expertise in Network Firewalls with deep understanding of packet flow and troubleshooting with preferably Palo Alto FWs is an advantage.
Hands-on expertise in configuration and troubleshooting in Routing & switching
Expertise in Security management tools like AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer, Fireflow.
Expertise in Campus LAN, Wireless networks from Cisco or Aruba, implementation, refresh and troubleshooting complex issues in office network
Expertise in Network Hardware refresh, OS upgrade and patching.
Good understanding of DHCP, DNS and IP address management tools
Expertise in Data Center network comprising of Cisco Nexus, ACI, F5 LTM will be an advantage
Expertise in Public cloud Networking, Private cloud, VMware NSX-T, SDN technologies will be an advantage
Good understanding of SNMP and API based monitoring tools, Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, NetScout. Automation and scripting skills will be an advantage
Good understanding of ITIL processes; Service request, Change, Problem & Incident handling
Able to document operational support procedures & network diagrams
Qualifications
Expertise of 3 years in network support in a sizable organization
Technical expertise and Capabilities
Must be hands-on expertise in sizable environment
Excellent troubleshooting expertise
Overview CCNA / CCNP
Certifications from leading Product Vendors like Palo Alto, F5, Checkpoint.
