Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP PaPM (Profitability Analysis and Planning) Consultant to join our AMS Operations team supporting a strategic Life Sciences client in Switzerland. The role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and enhancing SAP PaPM solutions in a live SAP S/4HANA landscape, enabling effective profitability analysis and planning for business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SAP PaPM experience, an AMS support mindset, and the ability to work independently in a production environment while collaborating closely with finance and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
· The consultant will provide ongoing AMS and operational support for SAP PaPM applications in a production environment.
· Responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing SAP PaPM data models, calculation functions, reports, and dashboards.
· The role involves configuration and customization of SAP PaPM to support profitability analysis and planning processes, incident and problem resolution, and performance optimization.
· The consultant will collaborate with finance, controlling, analytics, and cross‑functional IT teams, support integration with SAP BW/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA, and provide end‑user support and training.
· The role also requires troubleshooting functional and technical issues and staying current with SAP PaPM enhancements and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
· Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with SAP PaPM (Profitability Analysis and Planning) and proven experience working in AMS or operations support engagements. Solid knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA and good understanding of SAP S/4HANA finance and analytics integration are required.
· The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, and the capability to work independently as well as in a global team environment.
· Willingness to work onsite or in a hybrid model in Basel, Switzerland is essential.
Nice to Have
· SAP PaPM or related SAP Finance or Analytics certification is an advantage.
· Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud for reporting and visualization is desirable.
· Prior exposure to Life Sciences or Pharma environments is a plus.
