ETL Tester – Data Testing
Zurich, Switzerland
Fixed term role for 6 months with potential extension
Cognizant is looking for an experienced ETL Tester with strong automation experience to support enterprise data platforms and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reconciliation across ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks for data testing and regression testing.
- Validate data quality using SQL and large-scale datasets.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Analyze and troubleshoot test failures and data quality issues.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Data Models.
- Solid experience in ETL testing, including source-to-target validation and data reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with test automation, ideally building frameworks from scratch.
- Strong SQL and data validation expertise.
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automated test execution.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or similar cloud data platforms.
- Great Expectations, dbt Tests, PyTest, Selenium, or equivalent tools.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or large enterprise data environments.
