Zurich, Switzerland
Fixed term role for 6 months with potential extension

Cognizant is looking for an experienced ETL Tester with strong automation experience to support enterprise data platforms and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test cases for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reconciliation across ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks for data testing and regression testing.
  • Validate data quality using SQL and large-scale datasets.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot test failures and data quality issues.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Data Models.
  • Solid experience in ETL testing, including source-to-target validation and data reconciliation.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation, ideally building frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong SQL and data validation expertise.
  • Programming skills in Python, Java, or similar.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and automated test execution.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Great Expectations, dbt Tests, PyTest, Selenium, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or large enterprise data environments.

This role is ideal for someone who understands enterprise data platforms, not just traditional ETL testing. We need a detail-oriented ETL Tester with strong automation skills who can build scalable testing solutions and is passionate about data quality.
