Role Description
A software engineering role where AI is the primary mode of working, not merely a productivity aid, but the default interface for design, development, testing, and delivery.
Engineers at all levels are expected to use AI coding assistants and agentic development frameworks as standard practice while maintaining the engineering judgment to determine when to trust, challenge, or override AI-generated outputs. The focus is on building and delivering high-quality software with AI embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
· Implement features and technical stories end-to-end, including appropriate test coverage.
· Manage the full pull request lifecycle, including branching, implementation, review response, and merge activities.
· Write unit and integration tests for all implemented features.
· Conduct code reviews focused on correctness, security, and long-term maintainability.
· Integrate AI models and APIs with enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
· Facilitate daily stand-ups at the Senior level, keeping discussions time-boxed, technical, and focused on impediments.
· Own squad-level technical decisions and escalate cross-squad concerns to the SWE Lead.
· Define and champion team AI development standards, including prompt engineering practices, output validation protocols, and responsible AI usage guidelines aligned with regulatory requirements (Senior).
· Build organizational AI literacy through knowledge sharing, demonstrations, and documentation on emerging tools and practices (Senior).
· Collaborate with QA engineers on acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
· Ensure all AI-assisted development adheres to security, data protection, and compliance standards within a regulated financial services environment.
· Use AI to assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, API specifications, and code comments to enterprise-grade standards.
· Participate actively in sprint ceremonies, retrospectives, and team discussions.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
· Minimum six years of relevant software engineering experience.

· Practical experience with automated end-to-end testing frameworks.
· Proficiency in modern full-stack development across front-end and back-end technologies.
· Cloud development experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
· Strong prompt engineering skills, with the ability to decompose ambiguous requirements into precise and effective AI task instructions.
· Proven ability to critically assess, validate, and improve AI-generated code rather than relying solely on code generation.
· This position requires proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) to support day-to-day business communications with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Preferred / Senior
· Experience integrating Large Language Model (LLM) APIs into enterprise-grade applications.
· Demonstrated track record of building and delivering production applications using AI-augmented development workflows with measurable outcomes.
