About Cognizant Consulting
Cognizant Consulting is more than Cognizant’s consulting practice—we’re a global community of 6,000+ experts dedicated to helping clients reimagine their business. Blending our deep industry and technology advisory capability, we create innovative business solutions for Fortune 500 clients. And now, we’re looking for our next colleague who’ll join us in shaping the future of business. Could it be you?
About the Role
As a Consulting Manager – Crunchtime Implementation, you will make an impact by leading the end-to-end implementation of the Crunchtime Back of House (BOH) solution for a leading QSR chain. You will be a valued member of the project delivery team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, Cognizant’s onshore and offshore teams, and vendor partners.
In this role, you will:
  • Own and drive the full project lifecycle — from initiation and planning through configuration, testing, go-live, and post-launch hypercare.
  • Establish and maintain project governance structures including steering committee cadences, RAID logs, status reporting, and escalation protocols.
  • Define and manage an integrated project plan across all workstreams (configuration, integration, data migration, training, rollout), ensuring dependencies and critical path are actively managed.
  • Deliver the project on time and within scope and budget, with August 2026 go-live and 50-store rollout by December 2026 as non-negotiable milestones.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client’s technology and operations leadership, building trusted relationships at the VP and Director level.
Work Model
At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring weekly presence in a client or Cognizant office in Atlanta, GA. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you’re engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.
What you must have to be considered
  • 12–15 years of project management experience, with at least 6 years leading large-scale technology implementations in the QSR, fast-casual, or food service industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-vendor, multi-workstream programs with onshore/offshore delivery models.
  • Deep understanding of restaurant back-of-house operations including inventory management, food cost, labor scheduling, and vendor ordering.
  • Strong command of project management methodologies (PMP, PMI, or equivalent); experience applying both Waterfall and Agile/hybrid frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage executive-level client relationships and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
These will help you succeed
  • Experience leading store-level technology rollouts across 50+ locations, including readiness planning, wave scheduling, and hypercare.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Direct, hands-on experience implementing Crunchtime Back of House, including familiarity with its configuration, modules, and implementation methodology.
  • Prior experience in QSR, restaurants or hospitality industry.
  • Experience managing programs that involve POS, BOH, or enterprise platform replacements in a live restaurant environment.
  • Familiarity with systems integrations between Crunchtime and adjacent platforms (POS, payroll, ERP, or ordering systems).
  • Experience working within a systems integration or management consulting firm delivering restaurant technology programs.
  • Six Sigma, PRINCE2, or SAFe Agile certification is a plus.

We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don't hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed. Think about your transferable experiences and unique skills that make you stand out as someone who can bring new and exciting things to this role.
