About the role
As a Desktop Engineer, you will make an impact by delivering reliable onsite desktop, laptop, mobile, and collaboration support for end users. You will support Windows desktop environments, assist with Mac devices as needed, resolve technical incidents, and help maintain a stable end-user computing experience within a structured IT service management environment. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work closely with service desk, infrastructure, vendor, and client support teams to provide timely, high-quality technical support.
In this role, you will
• Provide onsite desktop and laptop support, with primary support for Windows systems and secondary support for Mac devices
• Install, uninstall, configure, and support approved desktop applications
• Troubleshoot Windows 7 and Windows 10 imaging issues and support operating system deployment activities
• Provide Level 2 support for Office 365, Exchange, email, calendar, contacts, instant messaging, and voice messaging tools
• Use Active Directory to support user account administration, access issues, password resets, and troubleshooting
• Support collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, web access, and client single sign-on portal access
• Configure and securely sync iOS and Android mobile devices for end users
• Troubleshoot desktop-level antivirus, spam filtering, email archival, secure email encryption, storage notifications, and printer issues
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware upgrades, replacements, repairs, and service-related follow-up
• Document incidents, resolutions, and support activities while identifying recurring issues and recommending practical improvements
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring five days per week at the client location in Kohler, Wisconsin.

What you need to have to be considered
• 2 to 3 years of hands-on desktop, laptop, and end-user support in an enterprise environment
• Strong Windows desktop support skills, including troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues
• Exposure to Mac device support in a business environment
• Working knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Experience installing, uninstalling, configuring, and supporting approved desktop applications
• Level 2 support background with Office 365, Exchange, email, messaging, and collaboration tools
• Familiarity with Active Directory for user account support, access troubleshooting, password resets, and basic administration
• Ability to provide both onsite and remote technical support to end users
• Experience configuring iOS and Android mobile devices, supporting printers, and coordinating with hardware vendors
• Strong communication, customer service, incident management, and troubleshooting skills within a structured IT service management environment
These will help you stand out
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent IT service management credential
• Experience supporting both modern and legacy enterprise endpoint environments
• Familiarity with secure email encryption, spam management, email archival, antivirus troubleshooting, and storage notifications
• Exposure to single sign-on portals, web access troubleshooting, or client-specific access platforms
• Ability to identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements to support processes
