Job Summary

  • Role : Azure DevOps Engineer. Primary Skills Azure Terraform

    • Sr Developer role focused on designing implementing and optimizing Azure DevOps Server solutions for hybrid work environments ensuring robust pipelines and efficient work item management for complex enterprise applications with emphasis on secure automation quality delivery and continuous improvement across day shift operations without travel requirements.


    Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance Azure DevOps Server configurations to support scalable and secure enterprise application delivery within a hybrid work setup while aligning with organizational standards and project objectives.
  • Develop and refine Azure DevOps Pipeline definitions that automate build test and deployment workflows to achieve consistent release quality and faster time to market for multiple application teams.
  • Implement advanced pipeline strategies such as parallel stages and gated validations to improve throughput and reduce deployment risk while maintaining clear auditability across environments.
  • Optimize Azure DevOps work item structures by configuring boards backlogs and queries that enable transparent tracking of requirements defects and tasks for distributed delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with developers testers and operations specialists to integrate source control testing frameworks and deployment tools into Azure DevOps pipelines for seamless end to end delivery.
  • Troubleshoot complex pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks by analyzing logs metrics and run histories to deliver timely resolutions and minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Establish and maintain robust branching and merging strategies in source repositories connected to Azure DevOps Server to support safe parallel development and reliable release management.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for Azure DevOps configurations pipeline templates and operational procedures to ensure consistent onboarding and knowledge sharing across project stakeholders.
  • Introduce and drive continuous integration and continuous delivery practices using Azure DevOps capabilities to improve code quality testing coverage and deployment confidence throughout the release lifecycle.
  • Configure security permissions and policies within Azure DevOps Server to safeguard code assets manage access control and comply with enterprise governance and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide day to day support and guidance to delivery teams on the effective use of Azure DevOps work items pipelines and dashboards to promote data driven decision making and predictable delivery outcomes.
  • Analyze existing delivery processes and metrics to identify automation opportunities within Azure DevOps and propose targeted improvements that enhance productivity and reduce manual effort.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure and platform teams to ensure Azure DevOps Server availability performance and integration with enterprise tools so that development and deployment activities remain stable and reliable.

    • Qualifications

  • Demonstrate seven to nine years of professional experience in software development or DevOps engineering with a strong focus on enterprise scale delivery environments using Microsoft technologies.
  • Exhibit deep hands on expertise in Azure DevOps Server including configuration administration and customization of projects repositories boards and release pipelines for complex solutions.
  • Show proven experience in designing and maintaining Azure DevOps Pipeline workflows that include automated builds unit tests integration tests and multi stage deployments to different environments.
  • Apply solid understanding of work item management practices within Azure DevOps including backlog organization sprint planning and progress tracking to support agile or iterative delivery models.
  • Utilize strong programming or scripting capabilities in languages such as PowerShell or similar technologies to extend pipeline functionality and integrate external tools and services into delivery workflows.
  • Bring practical experience working in a hybrid work model that combines remote collaboration and office presence while using digital tools and communication platforms to maintain productivity and alignment.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with modern software engineering practices such as continuous integration continuous delivery and automated testing that complement Azure DevOps driven delivery approaches.
  • Display strong problem solving and analytical skills to diagnose pipeline and configuration issues in Azure DevOps and to implement effective long term remediation without impact on stability.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical partners through concise documentation and discussion to ensure shared understanding of Azure DevOps capabilities and process changes.
  • Adapt to changing project needs and evolving DevOps practices by learning new Azure services and related tools that can extend pipeline automation and improve development efficiency.
  • Exhibit commitment to secure and compliant development practices by applying organization specific policies within Azure DevOps workflows and enforcing quality gates and approvals.
  • Prefer prior experience in large multinational organizations where Azure DevOps was used to coordinate cross team deliveries at scale with emphasis on reliability and audit friendly operations.

    • Certifications Required

    Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Developer Associate focusing on Azure DevOps practices.
