About the role
As a Deal Pricer, you will drive impactful contributions and focus on outcomes. You will be a key member of the CMT NA team, collaborating with sales, solutioning, finance, and delivery teams. You will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and optimising pricing strategies for deals across Applications, Cloud, and Infrastructure Services, i.e. “You will have to ensure competitive yet profitable pricing proposals that align with business objectives and client requirements. In this role, you will:
· Analyze client requirements and solution scoping documents to prepare accurate and competitive pricing for IT services deals.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand solution components, cost structures, and commercial risks.
· Build pricing models and scenarios for both new business and renewal contracts, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and market standards.
· Review and validate cost inputs, margin targets, and commercial terms before deal submission.
· Support the sales team in client negotiations by providing pricing insights and rationale.
· Contribute to process improvement initiatives for pricing governance and efficiency.

What you must have to be considered
· Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or master’s degree in finance or business, or an equivalent qualification.
· 5-7 years’ experience in deal pricing, commercial finance, or bid management within the IT services sector.
· Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and any other pricing tools.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
· Attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, and strong business acumen.
· A strong sense of ownership, desire to create meaningful outcomes, and passion for work that serves a greater good for customers.

Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
