Location: Canada – Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Tech Lead with strong hands-on development expertise to design, build, and optimize scalable Salesforce solutions. This role involves leading technical design, development, and integrations while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable and secure Salesforce implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
  • Ensure solutions align with Salesforce best practices, scalability, and security standards.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; perform unit testing and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing Salesforce implementations for performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with Salesforce Administrators, Business Analysts, and QA teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

  • 8+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with Sales Cloud, Analytics, and Skuid.
  • Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Proven experience leading technical design decisions in complex Salesforce implementations.
  • Ability to effectively translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $80,000 pa – 108,000 pa. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
