About the role
As a Senior ServiceNow UX/UI Designer, you will make an impact by designing intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that drive engagement, adoption, and business value. You will be a valued member of our ServiceNow Experience Design team and work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that enhance the employee and customer experience.
In this role, you will:
- Lead user research, discovery workshops, and stakeholder engagements to understand user needs, business objectives, and experience challenges.
- Define and communicate UX strategy, design vision, and experience principles that align with client goals and digital transformation initiatives.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and interactive designs that deliver seamless experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- Partner closely with development teams to ensure design solutions are implemented effectively and aligned with ServiceNow best practices.
- Analyze user feedback, usability findings, and performance metrics to continuously improve experiences and drive adoption.
- Facilitate design workshops and present recommendations to business stakeholders, project teams, and executive leadership.
- Serve as a design lead on client engagements, providing mentorship and guidance to designers and project team members.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, solution strategy discussions, and thought leadership initiatives as a UX/UI subject matter expert.

What you need to have to be considered
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience designing user experiences and interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI design, user-centered design methodologies, and successful digital experiences.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency with design and collaboration tools such as Figma, FigJam, Adobe XD, Miro, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar platforms.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, design systems, and high-fidelity visual designs.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with Agile development teams throughout the product lifecycle.
These will help you stand out
- Experience designing experiences within the ServiceNow platform and knowledge of the Now Experience Framework.
- Familiarity with SaaS product design and enterprise application user experiences.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and service management concepts.
- Experience contributing to digital transformation, employee experience, or workflow automation initiatives.
- Experience mentoring designers and providing design leadership across project teams.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards, design systems, and modern UX best practices.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
