As a Windows Administrator, you will operate and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments across physical, virtual, and hybrid infrastructure. This is a Senior Administrator-level position requiring 7-10+ years of relevant experience, supporting our client's infrastructure and digital workplace services in Finland.

About the Team / Business Unit
This role sits within our client's Infrastructure and Digital Workplace Services organisation, delivered by Cognizant as part of an updated enterprise support model. The team is responsible for the Windows & Server Infrastructure tower, working closely with security, service management, and business stakeholders to keep the client's technology estate resilient, secure, and future-ready across Finland.
About You:
You bring hands-on expertise across Windows Server, Active Directory, and core infrastructure services, with strong experience in patch management, virtualization platforms, and automation through PowerShell. You are comfortable troubleshooting complex L2/L3 issues and working within enterprise ITSM processes.
Your Key Result Areas:
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain supported Windows Server platforms.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, certificates, and core Windows services.
• Manage SCCM/WSUS patching, vulnerability remediation, configuration compliance, and exception reporting.
• Support VMware ESXi and Hyper-V hosted Windows workloads, including capacity and availability checks.
• Automate recurring administration tasks through PowerShell and approved orchestration tools.
• Execute backup, recovery, disaster recovery, incident, problem, and change activities through ITSM processes.
• Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and maintain SOPs and runbooks.
• Participate in agreed on-call or 24x7 production support coverage.
Required & nice to have Skills:
Must Haves:
1.) 7-10+ years of hands-on experience as a Windows Administrator (or equivalent Senior Administrator role) within enterprise infrastructure environments.
2.) Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, IIS and SCCM, WSUS, PowerShell.
3.) Demonstrated experience in VMware ESXi / vSphere, Hyper-V.
4.) Working knowledge of Backup and disaster recovery.
5.) Ability to work within enterprise change, incident, problem, security, audit, and service management (ITSM) controls.
6.) Strong ownership, analytical troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and documentation discipline.
