Job Summary:
- The consultant should be able to own the Oracle Cloud WMS & Inventory track and drive various phases of the project such as Cloud Map, CRP, design, build, testing, cut-over and go-live support.
- Must display competency and should be able to configure the Oracle Cloud WMS & Inventory modules (Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Shipping, Cycle Counting, Inventory Management, Lot & Serial Control, Material Workbench, Cross-Docking, etc.).
- Candidate must be a problem solver with good analytical and communication skills, capable of translating complex warehouse and inventory business requirements into Oracle Cloud WMS configurations.
- Candidate should work closely with offshore functional and technical teams to keep track of project deliverables, open issues, and milestone adherence across the WMS & Inventory workstream.
- Candidate must own deliverables like RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix), To-Be design, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, DS030 (Configuration Document), AN100 (Design Document), and WMS & Inventory solution design specifications.
- Should work closely with warehouse operations, supply chain, and other dependent departments and client-side roles such as Warehouse Managers, Inventory Controllers, Receiving Supervisors, Shipping Coordinators, and Cycle Count Administrators.
- Will be responsible for configuring Oracle Cloud WMS warehouse setup parameters including warehouses, subinventories, locators, zones, pick methodologies (wave picking, cluster picking, zone picking), putaway rules, task dispatching, and RF/mobile device configurations for warehouse floor operations.
- Is responsible to work closely with the Project Manager on both Cognizant and Client sides, as well as with other functional consultants across Procurement, Manufacturing, Order Management, Supply Chain Planning, and Finance workstreams for cross-module process alignment.
- Candidate must have proven experience in handling CEMLI objects and related documents, including WMS-specific extensions such as custom task type configurations, label printing templates (ZPL/barcode), and mobile transaction customisations.
- Is responsible to design integrations with legacy and third-party systems such as ERP (Oracle EBS / Fusion SCM), Transportation Management (OTM), carrier systems for ASN (Advance Ship Notice), barcode/RFID label printing systems, and shop-floor automation equipment using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Is responsible for validating inventory and warehouse master data migrated from legacy systems into Oracle Cloud, performing data reconciliation for item setup, subinventories, locators, on-hand balances, lot and serial numbers, and item costs during FBDI-based data loads.
- Should be able to configure end-to-end Inventory Management parameters including organisation setup, subinventory attributes, item master (including lot control, serial control, revision control, and shelf-life), UOM conversions, ABC classification, and cycle count schedules and tolerances.
- Should be coordinating with the Procurement consultant for PO receipts and supplier returns, the Manufacturing consultant for work-in-process material movements and backflushing, and the Order Management consultant for pick-release, ship-confirm, and RMA processing.
- Must be able to design WMS & Inventory-related OTBI reports and BI Publisher reports as per business requirements, covering areas such as inventory valuation, on-hand stock ageing, cycle count accuracy, warehouse task productivity, lot traceability, and slow-moving/obsolete stock; validate them with users and iteratively test and deploy successfully.
- Is responsible to design and deliver warehouse-facing and carrier-facing documents such as Packing Slip, Shipping Label (ZPL/PDF), Bill of Lading, Lot Certificate of Analysis, Goods Receipt Note (GRN), and material transfer documents using Oracle Cloud document generation and BI Publisher.
- Candidate will be responsible to design and deliver the “Train the Trainer” plan and schedule for all WMS & Inventory module users, including Warehouse Managers, Inventory Controllers, Receiving and Shipping staff, and Cycle Count Administrators.
