In this role, you will be responsible for leading high-impact Quality Assurance initiatives across complex product lifecycles. You will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and evolving our automated testing strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Working within agile, cross-functional teams, you will champion modern testing practices, manage cross-team integration testing, and leverage emerging technologies to enhance our overall testing efficiency and product reliability.
In this role, you will
- Lead the Quality Assurance efforts for complex projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage from system integration to regression and error/default testing.
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable automated test suites using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript to accelerate release cycles.
- Manage testing for integrations across multiple development teams, ensuring consistency and seamless interoperability.
- Integrate testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to streamline test script generation, maintenance, and debugging.
- Collaborate closely with product owners and developers in an agile environment, operating with minimal supervision to deliver high-quality features.
- Oversee end-to-end test case coverage, ensuring all business requirements and edge cases are validated against project goals.
Required Skills
- 8+ years experience in IT QA.
- Strong proficiency with testing tools: Azure DevOps or JIRA
- Strong proficiency with modern automation tools Playwright (2+ yrs)
- Proficient with at least one major programming language – like Typescript, Javascript, (2+ yrs)
- Proficient in Web services testing: Rest, GraphQL
- SQL expertise (2+ yrs)
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is highly desirable
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline and Git process like Github, Github Action, Teamcity..etc
- Managed testing for integration across multiple development teams
- Managed test case coverage for a product or project
- Testing proficiency in multiple SDLC’s (Agile, Waterfall)
- Thorough understanding of major testing types including system/integration, regression and Default/error testing
- Experienced working in agile cross functional team with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance development and testing productivity.
- Cross-Team Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing integration testing across multiple, simultaneous development workstreams.

Total compensation:
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 90,000 – 110,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
