We are seeking a talented individual to fill a Sr. Software Engineer role in a cross-functional agile team.
Your purpose will be to bring a lean, agile approach to design and development, help us to deliver inspired, effortless human connection by leveraging quality microservice practices.

You will be responsible for design, development, configuration, customization, implementation and operational maintenance. Your role will be instrumental in defining and developing well-architected API solutions, ensuring quality and coding best practices. Your backend APIs will help the company to deliver strategic and complex business solutions.
You should be able to manage offshore team members, guide/mentor them and resolve their queries.

•Estimate and plan workloads for upcoming sprints.
•Frame development solutions and explain thinking in a compelling way.
•Ensure development is maintainable, reusable and of high quality.
•Identify problems or areas for continuous improvement and provide solutions proactively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Team Collaboration
•Lead a cross-functional Agile team comprising developers, QA engineers, business analysts, product owners, and platform engineers.
•Provide technical guidance, architecture oversight, and mentoring to team members.
•Drive engineering best practices including code quality, design reviews, performance optimization, and security standards.
•Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
•Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Agile Delivery & SAFe Practices
•Participate actively in PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives within a SAFe Agile environment.
•Work closely with Product Management and Architecture teams to define and deliver roadmap initiatives.
•Manage technical dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments across Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
•Champion continuous improvement through Agile metrics, team feedback, and engineering excellence initiatives.
Solution Design & Development
•Design, develop, and implement cloud-native applications using Java Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS services.
•Build and enhance Amazon Connect contact center solutions, including call flows, routing strategies, and integrations with backend systems.
•Develop and optimize Amazon Lex conversational AI/chatbot solutions to improve customer engagement and self-service capabilities.
•Design event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka and AWS Event Bridge for scalable and resilient integrations.
•Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and implement Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation.
•Build highly available and scalable applications deployed on Amazon EKS (Kubernetes).
Cloud & Platform Engineering
•Define and implement AWS cloud architecture patterns that ensure scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
•Manage containerized deployments and operational support for workloads running on EKS.
•Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation and CI/CD automation.
•Leverage AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Event Bridge, and Kafka integrations to build modern distributed systems.
DevOps, Operations & Support
•Own the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle with a strong DevOps mindset.
•Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, test, and deployment processes.
•Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability using observability and monitoring tools.
•Investigate and resolve production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
•Drive operational excellence through automation, proactive monitoring, and continuous service improvements.
Architecture & Engineering Excellence
•Contribute to solution architecture and technology roadmap discussions.
•Ensure adherence to microservices design principles, API standards, security controls, and cloud-native best practices.
•Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business outcomes and developer productivity.
•Drive technical debt reduction, application modernization, and platform optimization initiatives.
•Promote test automation, performance engineering, and secure coding practices.
Stakeholder Management
•Act as a trusted technical advisor to business and technology stakeholders.
•Communicate solution designs, technical trade-offs, risks, and implementation strategies effectively.
•Support estimation, planning, and technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Salary Range:>$100,000
