Over de functie
Als Senior Consulting Manager Hypotheken maak je impact door complexe transformaties met meerdere werkstromen te leiden en klantagenda’s in de Benelux vorm te geven. Je combineert diepgaande hypotheekexpertise met commercieel leiderschap, delivery leadership en people leadership in een technologieonafhankelijke omgeving. Je wordt een gewaardeerd lid van het Consulting-team voor Banking & Financial Services (BFS) en werkt samen met ons ecosysteem van klanten, partners, start-ups en ontwerpbureaus.
In deze functie ga je
• Leid programma’s of meerdere werkstromen en draag verantwoordelijkheid voor resultaten, commerciële aspecten en governance. Geef vorm aan roadmaps, operating models, investeringscases en besluitvorming op directieniveau.
• Bouw vertrouwde relaties op senior niveau op, leid multidisciplinaire internationale teams, identificeer kansen, leid offertetrajecten en versterk marktproposities.
• Adviseer klanten over woninghypotheken, buy-to-let, herfinanciering, aflossingsvrije hypotheken en annuïtaire producten. Beoordeel en herontwerp processen voor advies, betaalbaarheid, taxatie, acceptatie, passeren, beheer, betalingsachterstanden en aflossing.
• Vertaal doelstellingen naar vereisten voor processen, data, beheersmaatregelen en technologie binnen hypotheekverstrekking en -beheer, CRM, workflow, documentbeheer, beslissingsmotoren, API’s en digitale kanalen. Definieer de ondersteunende datavereisten en beheersmaatregelen.
• Pas de Nederlandse en EU-context toe, waaronder Nederlandse hypotheekpraktijken, zorgplicht, verantwoorde kredietverlening en gedragsrisico. Faciliteer feitelijke besluitvorming die praktisch, controleerbaar en direct implementeerbaar is.
Werkmodel
Bij Cognizant streven we ernaar waar mogelijk flexibiliteit te bieden. Op basis van de bedrijfsvereisten van deze functie betreft dit een hybride functie waarbij je twee tot drie dagen per week op locatie bij een klant of op het kantoor van Cognizant in Amsterdam werkt. Ongeacht je werkregeling ondersteunen we een gezonde balans tussen werk en privé met onze verschillende welzijnsprogramma’s.
De werkafspraken voor deze functie zijn correct op de publicatiedatum. Deze kunnen wijzigen op basis van het project waaraan je werkt en de vereisten van de organisatie en de klant. We communiceren altijd duidelijk over de verwachtingen voor de functie.
Wat je nodig hebt om in aanmerking te komen
• Uitgebreide relevante ervaring in consulting binnen de financiële dienstverlening en de realisatie van complexe transformaties, met aantoonbare ervaring in het leiden van programma’s met meerdere werkstromen, relaties met senior klanten en consultingteams.
• Diepgaande functionele kennis van hypotheken, waaronder producten, klantreizen, operating models, rendementsaspecten, beheersmaatregelen en veranderende regelgeving.
• Aantoonbaar vermogen om end-to-end IT-bedrijfsanalyse uit te voeren met een technologieonafhankelijke benadering, waaronder probleemdefinitie, stakeholderanalyse, requirementsinventarisatie, procesmodellering, user stories, acceptatiecriteria, traceerbaarheid, testondersteuning en organisatorische gereedheid.
• Sterk stakeholdermanagement binnen business, operations, risk, compliance, finance, data, architectuur, engineering en leveranciers, gecombineerd met gestructureerde probleemoplossing, workshopfacilitatie en storytelling voor bestuurders.
• Vloeiende beheersing van zowel het Nederlands als het Engels, mondeling en schriftelijk, plus een relevant bachelor- of masterdiploma of gelijkwaardige werkervaring.
Dit helpt je om succesvol te zijn
• Ervaring bij Nederlandse of Benelux-organisaties in de financiële dienstverlening en kennis van het Nederlandse toezichtlandschap en relevante EU-regelgeving.
• Het vermogen effectief te werken in een Nederlandse, consensusgerichte omgeving met transparante governance en pragmatische uitvoering, en bereidheid om in hybride internationale teams te werken en naar klantlocaties te reizen.
• Inzicht in moderne BFS-technologielandschappen, waaronder kernplatforms, workflow, integratie, cloud, data, analytics, automatisering en digitale kanalen.
• Een klantgerichte, geloofwaardige en analytische aanpak die complexiteit vereenvoudigt, constructief kritisch, resultaatgericht, ondernemend en samenwerkingsgericht is.
• Toewijding aan de ontwikkeling van de adviespraktijk via capabilityontwikkeling, coaching, proposities, accelerators, casestudy’s, marktvisies en thought leadership.

About the role
As a Senior Consulting Manager, Mortgages, you will make an impact by leading complex, multi-workstream transformations and shaping client agendas across the Benelux region, combining deep mortgages domain expertise with commercial, delivery and people leadership in a technology-agnostic environment. You will be a valued member of the Banking & Financial Services (BFS) Consulting team and work collaboratively with our ecosystem of clients, alliances, start-ups and design agencies, and clients.
In this role, you will
• Lead programmes or multiple workstreams with accountability for outcomes, commercials and governance, and shape roadmaps, operating models, investment cases and executive decisions.
• Build trusted senior relationships, lead multidisciplinary global teams, originate opportunities, lead proposals and strengthen market propositions.
• Advise clients across residential mortgages, buy-to-let, refinancing, interest-only and annuity products, and assess and redesign processes covering advice, affordability, valuation, acceptance, completion, servicing, arrears and redemption.
• Translate objectives into process, data, control and technology requirements across mortgage origination and servicing, CRM, workflow, documents, decision engines, APIs and digital channels, and define the supporting data requirements and controls.
• Apply Netherlands and EU context, including Dutch mortgage practices, customer duty of care, responsible lending and conduct risk, facilitating fact-based decisions that are practical, auditable and implementation-ready.
Work model

What you must have to be considered
• Extensive relevant experience in financial-services consulting and complex transformation delivery, with a demonstrated track record of leading multi-workstream programmes, senior client relationships and consulting teams.
• Deep functional knowledge of mortgages, including products, customer journeys, operating models, economics, controls and regulatory drivers.
• Proven ability to perform end-to-end IT business analysis, including problem framing, stakeholder analysis, requirements elicitation, process modelling, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability, testing support and business readiness, using a technology-agnostic approach.
• Strong stakeholder management across business, operations, risk, compliance, finance, data, architecture, engineering and vendors, combined with structured problem solving, workshop facilitation and executive storytelling.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken, is mandatory, together with a bachelor or master degree in business, finance, economics, technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
These will help you succeed
• Experience with Dutch or Benelux financial-services organisations and knowledge of the Dutch supervisory landscape and relevant EU regulation for the subdomain.
• Ability to work effectively in a Dutch consensus-oriented environment through transparent governance and pragmatic delivery, and comfort in hybrid international teams travelling to Netherlands and Benelux client locations.
• Understanding of modern BFS technology landscapes, including core platforms, workflow, integration, cloud, data, analytics, automation and digital channels.
• A client-focused, credible and analytical approach that simplifies complexity, challenges constructively and is outcome-oriented, entrepreneurial and collaborative.
• A commitment to developing the practice through capability building, coaching, propositions, accelerators, case studies, market points of view and thought leadership.
