Seeking a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in OpenSearch Couchbase and database administration combined with Python development skills to manage optimize and build scalable data/search platforms.
Qualifications:
Strong experience with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch stack
Hands-on expertise in Couchbase (NoSQL DB)
Solid DBA fundamentals (performance tuning backup/recovery HA/DR)
Proficiency in Python (automation APIs scripting)
Experience with REST APIs data integration and distributed systems
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
ADVANCED ENGLISH IS A MUST
Hybrid role in any of our 4 locations in Mexico: Guadalajara, CDMX, Monterrey or Queretaro
Responsibilities
Design implement and manage OpenSearch clusters (indexing search optimization performance tuning)
Administer and support Couchbase databases (cluster setup replication backup/recovery scaling)
Perform DBA activities including monitoring tuning capacity planning and troubleshooting
Develop Python scripts/tools for automation data processing and system integration
Optimize query performance indexing strategies and data models across platforms
Ensure high availability security and data integrity of search and database systems
Collaborate with application and data engineering teams on integration and performance improvements
