Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, and manage the cloud platform that powers AI-driven commerce solutions. The role will be responsible for Azure infrastructure, container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, MLOps enablement, platform security, observability, reliability, and cloud cost optimization. Working closely with AI Engineers, Solution Architects, and Security teams, the successful candidate will ensure scalable, secure, and highly available environments that support commerce applications and AI workloads across the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities :
- Design and manage the core Azure infrastructure for the AI Commerce platform, including AKS clusters, App Services, networking (VNets, Private Endpoints, Front Door/Application Gateway), and multi-environment landing zones.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep) for consistent, repeatable provisioning across dev, test, staging, and production environments.
- Design and own CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) for backend, frontend, mobile, and AI/ML components, including build, test, security scanning, and progressive deployment strategies (blue-green, canary).
- Establish MLOps pipelines for model/prompt deployment, versioning, and rollback in partnership with AI Engineers, integrating Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Foundry into the broader release process.
- Implement observability and monitoring across the platform using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics, defining SLOs/SLIs and alerting for commerce-critical services and AI endpoints.
- Manage container orchestration, autoscaling, and cost optimization strategies to handle variable retail traffic patterns (seasonal peaks, flash sales) while controlling cloud spend (FinOps).
- Implement security and compliance guardrails in the platform layer — secrets management (Azure Key Vault), network segmentation, policy-as-code (Azure Policy), and RBAC — in collaboration with the Security Architect.
- Lead incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews, driving continuous improvement in platform reliability, deployment velocity, and developer experience.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) — advantageous for senior/lead-level candidates
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Skills Required :
- 6–9 years in DevOps/Platform Engineering
- At least 3–4 years building and operating cloud-native infrastructure on Azure at enterprise scale, ideally supporting high-availability commerce or AI/ML workloads.
