About the role
As a Fraud Risk Business Analyst, you will make an impact by helping strengthen fraud prevention, detection, and investigation capabilities through business analysis and process improvement initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Fraud, Risk, and Compliance team, working closely with business stakeholders, compliance partners, and technology teams to deliver effective fraud management solutions that reduce risk and improve operational efficiency.
In this role, you will:
· Partner with Fraud Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
· Analyze existing fraud detection and investigation processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and reduce fraud losses.
· Serve as the liaison between business users, compliance stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure alignment on requirements and successful solution delivery.
· Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements and actionable technical specifications.
· Support Agile delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle, including requirement clarification, testing support, and stakeholder communication.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Cleveland, OH . What you need to have to be considered
· Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
· Strong expertise in process mapping, user story creation, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
· Experience working with Fraud Operations, Risk, Compliance, or related financial services environments.
· Proficiency in analyzing data using tools such as SQL and Microsoft Excel.
· Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
· Experience supporting testing activities, including validating requirements and assisting with user acceptance testing.
This will help you stand out
· Previous experience supporting fraud detection, investigations, or financial crime initiatives.
· Knowledge of fraud prevention frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills across business and technical teams.
· Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in large enterprise environments.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
