Android Developer

We are currently seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, build, and deliver market-leading native mobile applications for enterprise clients.

This role provides the opportunity to work across innovative mobile initiatives, partnering closely with client stakeholders, designers, architects, and delivery teams to create engaging, high-quality Android experiences. You will play a key role in shaping technical solutions, driving engineering best practices, and delivering scalable mobile applications that provide meaningful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure successful delivery outcomes.

• Design, develop, and enhance native Android applications, translating business requirements and concepts into high-quality digital experiences.

• Deliver enterprise-grade mobile applications using modern Android development frameworks, tools, and best practices.

• Act as a subject matter expert for Android development, providing technical leadership across projects and consulting engagements.

• Contribute to application architecture, design decisions, and implementation strategies for new products and feature enhancements.

• Ensure development activities adhere to engineering standards, coding best practices, security requirements, and established SDLC processes.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary delivery teams.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives, technical innovation, knowledge sharing, and capability uplift across engineering teams.

• Contribute to thought leadership activities, including technical presentations, documentation, internal learning programs, and industry engagement.

Skills & Experience

• Significant hands-on experience delivering complex, enterprise-grade native Android applications.

• Strong expertise in Java, Android SDK, and Android development tools.

• Experience with Kotlin highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of networking concepts using Android APIs and third-party libraries.

• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and common design patterns including MVC, MVVM, and MVP.

• Proven experience using Git-based version control, pull request workflows, and continuous integration practices.

• Demonstrated success delivering commercial Android applications through native app distribution platforms.

• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.

• Experience developing scalable, maintainable, and performant mobile solutions using modern engineering practices.

• Experience integrating Android applications with APIs, backend platforms, and enterprise systems.

• Ability to work effectively within large, complex, and distributed delivery environments.

• Strong stakeholder management, consulting, communication, and presentation skills.

• Proven ability to mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and influence technical decisions.

• Self-motivated with strong accountability, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
