Job Title: Deskside Technician
Job Location: Onsite- Montpelier, VT, USA

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $63,000 to $70,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
- Provide onsite and remote end-user support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, operating systems, software applications, and enterprise tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues while ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Support and administer Windows 10/11, macOS devices, Active Directory accounts, and endpoint management platforms such as Intune and SCCM.
- Manage and troubleshoot virtual desktop environments, including Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), to ensure seamless user access.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support printers, peripherals, conferencing equipment, and other workplace technology assets.
- Track, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests through ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira while meeting SLA requirements.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, document technical procedures, and collaborate with infrastructure, security, and networking teams to improve end-user computing services and operational efficiency.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 6-8 years of experience in Desktop Support, Deskside Support, or End User Computing environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments and IT service management processes.
