Job Summary
This hybrid Test Lead role focuses on designing and driving high quality verification for embedded systems built on Windows XP Embedded using Robot Framework Python and Embedded C ensuring robust functionality for research and clinical oriented solutions that support innovation in bioinformatics and medical technology while collaborating closely with cross functional teams in a day shift environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the end to end test strategy for embedded solutions based on Windows XP Embedded to ensure reliable performance and compliance with internal quality standards across all supported releases.Oversee the creation of comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases using Robot Framework and Python so that complex functional and regression scenarios are validated with traceable coverage.Provide hands on development of automated test scripts using Robot Framework and Python to improve repeatability reduce manual effort and accelerate feedback cycles in hybrid work settings.Coordinate embedded level verification by reviewing and executing tests targeting firmware modules written in Embedded C to confirm stability error handling and resource efficiency.Drive root cause analysis for defects identified during system and integration testing to support timely fixes and continuous improvement of embedded features and data handling logic.Collaborate with developers product owners and domain experts to refine requirements and acceptance criteria so that test designs reflect real world usage in research and clinical workflows.Implement robust test data management practices to simulate realistic scenarios for preclinical and clinical research use cases while safeguarding integrity and consistency.Monitor test execution progress and quality metrics prepare concise status reports and communicate risks to stakeholders to support informed decision making and release readiness.Optimize test environments for Windows XP Embedded systems by coordinating configuration deployment and maintenance activities that enable stable and repeatable test runs.Contribute to continuous improvement of test frameworks and utilities using Python by enhancing libraries tools and reusable components that raise productivity for the wider team.Guide defect lifecycle management activities by ensuring accurate defect documentation prioritization and verification so that critical issues affecting research and clinical workflows are resolved promptly.Align testing outcomes with organizational goals by validating that embedded solutions enhance reliability efficiency and safety for end users in scientific and healthcare communities.Support hybrid collaboration practices by using clear written and spoken English communication to share test insights coordinate activities and document outcomes for distributed teams.
