Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Manager – Testing Environments to join the Technology Transformation team at Cognizant. This high-profile role is instrumental in leading and managing technology testing environment delivery across the program to support a high-profile, time-critical program focused on deploying and uplifting testing environments and integrating multiple application layers across a complex technology landscape. As the key point of contact for managing and coordinating environment delivery, this role will work closely with Program Managers and senior stakeholders to maintain delivery stability while enabling agility in a fast-paced environment and ensuring rigorous governance, coordination, and impact assessment of all delivery requests.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of technical project streams within a complex program, with a focus on test environment uplift.
  • Own and drive project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution in coordination with key stakeholders.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including internal SMEs, external vendors, business analysts and solution engineers
  • Ensure scope, timelines, and delivery risks are proactively identified, communicated, and mitigated
  • Work collaboratively with program managers, project managers, solution architects, infrastructure leads, QA/test teams, and vendors to identify requirements, assess impacts and align delivery objectives
  • Provide structured high-quality reporting to Program Managers on project health, risks, and outcomes
  • Identify and track dependencies across multiple streams of work as well as external dependencies raised for the project/program
  • Adapt project/program delivery to accommodate shifting priorities and business needs in a high-pressure environment

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex technical projects within large enterprise transformation programs, preferably in banking or financial services

  • Strong knowledge of project governance, delivery lifecycles, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as architecture diagrams and system flows

  • Strong experience leading end-to-end project delivery uplifting and deploying new Infrastructure, onboarding applications, integrating with existing services, and service operationalization

  • Experience working with internal teams and third-party vendors to facilitate and manage delivery

  • Excellent proactiveness, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to gather requirements, facilitate workshops and drive outcomes

  • Confident working with technical stakeholders and translating between business and IT domains

  • Advanced reporting skills, including presenting risk and decisions to senior leaders

  • Provide structured and concise reporting to Program Managers and key stakeholders on RAG status, milestones, risks, issues and finances

  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent streams

  • High attention to detail, highly organised with ability to manage shifting priorities and lead under pressure

  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong resilience

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in complex environments with a large number of applications requiring integration into existing systems (E.g. Data Platforms, APIs, upstream & downstream systems)

  • Solid understanding of test environments management

  • Exposure to Traditional, Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies

  • Familiar with a variety of project delivery and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Confluence)

  • Comfortable stepping into ambiguity

  • A Team player, highly accountable, proactive, and flexible, with a willingness to go above and beyond
