We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as QA Strategy Consultant
QA Strategy Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and governance of the Quality Assurance practice within Consumer Goods Industry clients platform ecosystem. This is a strategic, leadership-oriented role — the consultant will operate as the single point of accountability for QA across the full-service lifecycle, defining methodology, establishing standards, and ensuring quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
· QA Practice Leadership & Governance
· Design and implement the end-to-end QA strategy and governance model for the customer go to market platform, aligned to customer quality standards and IT objectives.
· Define the QA methodology, standards, processes, and best practices to be adopted across the organization.
· Establish quality gates, acceptance criteria, and performance metrics for all certification cycles of changes and enhancements in the customer go to market platform.
· Build and maintain the overall QA framework, ensuring it is scalable, auditable, and aligned to industry best practices (ISTQB, Agile, DevOps).
· Own the QA work plan at a strategic level — prioritizing initiatives, allocating focus areas, and ensuring delivery milestones are met.
Strategic Planning & Quality Assurance Design
· Lead the design phase by overseeing the translation of user stories and business requirements into a structured, risk-based test strategy.
· Define the criteria for verification, validation, and quality/risk reviews across IT projects in scope.
· Develop and maintain the Quality Assurance Plan for each IT project, establishing performance benchmarks and risk mitigation controls.
· Ensure all QA plans and processes are properly documented and governed through Microsoft Azure DevOps, maintaining full traceability from requirements to quality outcomes.
· Drive the definition and implementation of controls for programming integrity, versioning, mobile compatibility, and documentation standards.
· Stakeholder Management & Communication
· Serve as the primary QA advisor and point of contact for customer senior leadership, operations teams, and go to market platform providers.
· Lead communication alignment sessions between the QA function and operational areas regarding expected, agreed, and actual service quality levels.
· Present QA strategy, progress, risks, and results in executive-level forums with clarity and business context.
· Coordinate and facilitate working sessions across provider teams, development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure QA alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
· Participate and lead war room sessions during critical production deployments, providing strategic QA oversight and escalation management.
Working Conditions
· Modality: Hybrid — WFH and Cognizant facilities or onsite presence at customer headquarters at Santa Fe, CDMX as required by project milestones or stakeholder sessions.
· Hours: 8 hours/day, Monday through Friday, aligned to customer business operations hours.
· Travel: Occasional travel may be required with prior customer request.
· No access to or processing of personal data under this engagement
Background
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field. MBA or postgraduate studies are a plus.
· Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 4–5 years in strategic, leadership, or consulting roles.
· Demonstrated experience designing and implementing QA practices or Centers of Excellence (CoE) within large enterprise organizations.
· Background working with Supply Chain, or Commercial platforms in consumer goods or retail industries is highly desirable.
· Proven track record of managing QA governance in outsourcing/managed services models, with the ability to coordinate multiple providers and stakeholders simultaneously.
· Experience operating as an independent consultant, capable of self-managing deliverables and driving outcomes with minimal supervision.
