About the role
The Service Line Sales Specialist (SLS) will drive growth for Cognizant's Automation and AI practice within the Canada based Financial Services and Insurance (FSI) portfolio. This role combines consultative sales, client relationship management, automation solutioning, and FSI domain expertise to identify, shape, and close transformation opportunities centered around Intelligent Automation, RPA, AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions.
The ideal candidate possesses a blend of Banking and Insurance industry knowledge, understanding of Canada market, technology consulting experience, and sales acumen, with the ability to engage business and technology stakeholders, develop trusted relationships, and lead automation-led transformation conversations from qualification through closure.
In this role, you will
- Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets within the Canada marker especially focused on Banking and Insurance segment
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
- Develop strategic account growth plans for clients based out of Canada with focus on Banking and Insurance clients
- Build relationships with C-level executives, business stakeholders, and technology leaders.
- Lead RFI/RFP responses, proposals, presentations, and solution discussions.
- Collaborate with delivery, consulting, solution architects, and industry teams to create differentiated offerings.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract closure.
- Expand Cognizant's footprint within existing FSI accounts and acquire new logos.
- Provide market insights on healthcare industry trends, digital transformation, AI, analytics, cloud, interoperability, and regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate forecasts.

What you must have to be considered
- 12 - 15 years of experience in IT services, consulting, or Banking and/or Insurance industry sales.
- Minimum 5+ years of Banking and/or Insurance domain experience with excellent understanding of Banking and Insurance business processes.
- Experience working with large Banking and / or Insurance organizations such as large banks and /or insurers in Canada market .
- Knowledge of enterprise automation platforms including UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform and Automation Anywhere.
- Working understanding of AI, Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and automation technologies preferably exposure to AWS, Google or Microsoft AI stack
- Proven ability to build executive-level relationships and drive complex opportunity pursuits.
- Experience engaging both business and technology stakeholders in Canada market
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
These will help you succeed
- Knowledge of Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking, Asset and Wealth Management and Insurance technology ecosystems.
- Understanding of Banking and Insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with data modernization, AI/GenAI, analytics, cloud transformation, and interoperability platforms.
- Strong proposal development and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed global organization.

- Annual bookings and revenue growth.
- Expansion of existing client accounts.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position is between $145,000 - $165,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for:
- Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
