This role focuses on managing and enriching product information and material master data within SAP to ensure accurate consistent and compliant records that drive reliable planning sourcing and order fulfillment across the organization. Responsibilities
Manage SAP material master data creation updates and validations to ensure highly accurate and consistent product records that support procurement manufacturing and order fulfillment across global operations.Maintain rigorous data quality checks on material attributes units of measure classifications and status fields to reduce transactional errors and enable reliable reporting for business stakeholders.Execute standardized material master maintenance workflows and follow established governance practices to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory and audit requirements.Collaborate with planning procurement logistics and finance teams to gather detailed material data requirements and translate them into well structured master data that supports seamless end to end processes.Analyze data issues and recurring defects in SAP material master records propose corrective actions and implement sustainable fixes that enhance process efficiency and reduce rework.Support hybrid and night shift operations by monitoring material master change requests prioritizing critical updates and ensuring timely completion to avoid disruption in downstream business processes.Document material master data standards naming conventions attribute definitions and maintenance procedures to build a clear reference framework for business and technology teams.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product information and master data management by suggesting automation opportunities and optimizing manual steps for higher productivity.Assist in small scale data migration and cleansing activities for materials ensuring consistent structures and values when new plants product lines or systems are introduced.Coordinate with internal teams and service partners to resolve master data related incidents and service requests and communicate clear status updates to stakeholders.Support test cycles for SAP changes affecting material master objects by executing test scripts validating results and documenting findings for functional and technical teams.Participate in training sessions and knowledge sharing forums to learn advanced material master features and share insights that help improve overall master data maturity.Ensure that all daily activities in product information and material master data management contribute to improved operational reliability better customer satisfaction and more sustainable resource usage.
Qualifications
Demonstrate hands on experience working with SAP material master data including creation extension modification and validation of key fields across multiple views.Apply practical understanding of customer and material master concepts to ensure alignment of master data between customer records and material records for smooth order management.Show familiarity with master data management practices such as data governance stewardship and quality controls that help maintain trusted and reusable data assets.Utilize strong analytical and problem solving skills to investigate data discrepancies identify root causes and implement clear corrective actions in SAP environments.Communicate effectively with cross functional stakeholders in hybrid and night shift settings ensuring clear documentation and follow up on data requirements and issues.Exhibit structured working style attention to detail and ability to manage multiple material master requests while meeting timelines and quality expectations.Leverage any exposure to data migration tools or data cleansing techniques to support improvement and transition projects related to material and customer master records.
Certifications Required
SAP certified application associate in SAP ERP or S4HANA with focus on logistics or master data management is preferred.
