About the role
The Epicor Prophet 21 Support Lead will serve as the primary functional and operational support resource for Epicor P21 within a distribution and warehouse environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and effectiveness of P21 business processes while partnering closely with warehouse operations, business stakeholders, and global support teams. The ideal candidate will drive issue resolution, support critical distribution activities, and promote continuous improvement across application support services.
In this role, you will:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) application support, providing functional expertise and operational oversight.
· Support and troubleshoot key distribution processes including order management, receiving, inventory control, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting.
· Manage incidents, service requests, and problem resolution activities, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and business impact assessment.
· Collaborate with offshore support teams, business partners, and third-party vendors to resolve complex application and process issues.
· Monitor system performance, integrations, interfaces, and daily transaction activity to proactively identify and address operational risks.

What you need to have to be considered
· Hands-on experience supporting Epicor Prophet 21 in a production environment.
· Strong understanding of Distribution, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, and Order Fulfillment processes.
· Proven ability to diagnose and resolve high-priority production issues impacting warehouse and distribution operations.
· Experience coordinating support activities across business users, offshore teams, and external vendors.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
These will help you stand out
· Experience supporting EDI transactions, integrations, and troubleshooting activities.
· Knowledge of ECM / DocStar document management solutions.
· Exposure to Epicor reporting, analytics, or business intelligence tools.
· Experience working within application managed services (AMS) or hybrid onsite-offshore support models.
· Familiarity with distribution center operations and logistics business processes.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 and $130,000, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and other factors related to the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
