About the role

As a Healthcare Payer Functional/Technical Lead, you will make an impact by leading the design, implementation, and delivery of Facets Membership & Enrollment solutions for healthcare payer clients. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Product Consulting team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, client leadership, architects, developers, and cross-functional delivery teams to drive successful transformation initiatives.

In this role, you will:
Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and JAD discussions with client stakeholders to define business and system needs.
Provide functional and technical leadership for Facets Membership & Enrollment implementations, enhancements, and integration initiatives.
Analyze existing payer platforms, business processes, interfaces, and data flows to develop scalable solution designs.
Create functional specifications and partner with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
Manage onshore and offshore delivery teams, including estimation, planning, execution, and issue resolution.
Oversee end-to-end project delivery while ensuring adherence to SDLC standards, timelines, and quality expectations.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to address complex operational and technical challenges across Commercial and ASO lines of business.
Support modernization and migration initiatives from legacy payer administration platforms to Facets while identifying opportunities to leverage AI-enabled delivery practices.

What you need to have to be considered
Extensive experience serving as a Functional Lead, Technical Lead, or Consultant within Healthcare Payer environments.
Deep subject matter expertise in Facets Membership & Enrollment, including enrollment lifecycle management, maintenance, and batch operations.
Strong understanding of the Facets backend data model and related system integrations.
Proven experience with healthcare payer operations, particularly across Commercial and ASO lines of business.
Experience leading requirements discovery, business analysis, solution design, and JAD workshops with client stakeholders.
Demonstrated success managing onshore and offshore delivery teams across the full software development lifecycle.
Strong stakeholder management, consulting, estimation, planning, and risk management capabilities.
Technical knowledge of MS SQL, .NET, REST APIs, Power BI, and enterprise application integration concepts.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
These will help you stand out
Experience leading migrations from legacy healthcare payer administration platforms to Facets.
Knowledge of AI-enabled software engineering, delivery frameworks, and related certifications.
Experience supporting large-scale healthcare transformation or system modernization programs.
Understanding of healthcare payer data governance, reporting, and analytics solutions.
Ability to balance strategic consulting responsibilities with hands-on solution leadership and delivery oversight.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until October 25, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $95,000-$1009,000 CAD depending on experience and other
qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and
subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
