In this role, you will:

• Lead end to end delivery of enterprise technology projects that leverage Java and Spring Boot to meet strategic business objectives while aligning outcomes with organizational quality and compliance standards.
• Oversee project scope planning schedules and resource allocation to ensure all milestones are met within agreed timelines and budgets while maintaining full transparency across hybrid work arrangements.
• Coordinate cross functional teams including developers testers business analysts and merchandising stakeholders to drive effective collaboration and reduce delivery risks through structured communication routines.
• Provide clear and continuous status reporting on project progress risks and dependencies to senior management and partners ensuring that issues are identified early and addressed with actionable mitigation plans.
• Drive adoption of standardized project management practices such as risk registers issue logs and change control processes to improve predictability and reduce operational disruption across day shift teams.
• Manage project requirements by facilitating detailed discussions with business and technical stakeholders and translating them into implementable user stories and tasks for Java and Spring Boot development teams.
• Monitor development and testing activities to ensure solutions built on Java and Spring Boot meet expected performance security and reliability standards and support future merchandising enhancements.
• Collaborate with product and merchandising teams to prioritize features that maximize customer value and business impact while maintaining a realistic and achievable delivery roadmap in a hybrid work model.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance policies and documentation standards by maintaining accurate project artifacts including plans reports and lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and team feedback then proposing concrete process refinements that enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times for future initiatives.
• Guide teams in effective risk and dependency management by promoting proactive identification of constraints and clear ownership so that project goals are protected and delivery remains stable.
• Coordinate production readiness activities including cutover planning release coordination and post deployment monitoring to ensure Java and Spring Boot solutions transition smoothly into steady state operations.
• Promote a culture of accountability and collaboration across onsite and remote team members ensuring respectful communication and shared ownership of project success within the hybrid model.

What you need to have to be considered (Required):

• Possess extensive experience in managing technology projects between 10+ with a proven track record of delivering complex applications for large organizations using disciplined project management approaches.
• Demonstrate strong technical understanding of Java and Spring Boot to effectively engage with engineering teams review solution options and support informed decisions that align with performance and scalability needs.
• Exhibit familiarity with merchandising processes and retail domain concepts to better interpret business requirements and help tailor technology solutions that improve inventory management assortment planning and promotional effectiveness.
• Show proficiency in using project management tools and collaboration platforms for planning tracking and communication particularly suited to hybrid work models with distributed teams.
• Display excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics in accessible language and build trust with business partners and technical contributors.
• Apply structured problem solving capabilities and analytical thinking to evaluate project data identify trends and recommend practical actions that keep delivery on track and optimize future project planning.
• Maintain strong focus on quality and risk control by enforcing testing standards change management practices and compliance with organizational policies to safeguard system stability and client satisfaction.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $68K – 130K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
