About the Role
As a PEGA LSA Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and configuring PEGA applications that power healthcare claims processing, adjudication, and workflow automation. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Claims Technology team and work collaboratively with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, Facets-integrated applications that support the end-to-end claims lifecycle.
In This Role, You Will
• Design, develop, and configure PEGA applications for healthcare claims processing, adjudication, and workflow automation integrated with Facets.
• Build and customize PEGA case types, flows, decision rules, and UI rules to automate claims exception handling and manual review processes.
• Work across Facets modules (Claims, Membership, Billing, Provider) to support end-to-end claims lifecycle management, including intake, adjudication, and payment processing.
• Integrate PEGA with Facets and other core administration systems using REST/SOAP APIs, connectors, and data pages.
• Analyze and translate healthcare claims business requirements (HIPAA, EDI 837/835, X12 transactions) into PEGA application design, in close partnership with business analysts, architects, and QA teams.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
• Hands-on experience developing and configuring PEGA applications, including case types, flows, decision rules, and UI rules.
• Experience with Facets modules (Claims, Membership, Billing, Provider) supporting healthcare claims processing.
• Working knowledge of EDI 835 and 837 transactions and X12 standards within a HIPAA-compliant environment.
• Experience integrating PEGA with core administration systems via REST/SOAP APIs, connectors, and data pages.
• Proven ability to analyze and translate complex healthcare claims business requirements into technical application design.
These Will Help You Stand Out
• PEGA Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or equivalent certification.
• Prior experience in the healthcare payer/insurance industry.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with additional core administration or claims systems beyond Facets.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
