Job summary
We are seeking a GeoSpatial Senior Developer with expertise in Java and Spark technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 12 years of experience in developing scalable solutions leveraging Spark in Scala SQL and geospatial data processing. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects during day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable geospatial solutions using Java Spark in Scala and SQL to meet project requirements and business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design test and deploy geospatial applications that enhance data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze complex geospatial datasets to extract meaningful insights and optimize data processing workflows for improved efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise in Spark and Scala to ensure high-performance data processing and seamless integration with existing systems.
- Oversee the development of geospatial algorithms and tools to support advanced analytics and visualization capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices to maintain the quality and reliability of geospatial applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to geospatial data processing and application performance.
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Maintain documentation for geospatial applications including design specifications user guides and operational procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in geospatial data processing and analytics to drive innovation within the team.
- Optimize Spark-based workflows to handle large-scale geospatial datasets efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications
- Possess strong expertise in Spark in Scala SQL and Java with a proven track record of developing scalable geospatial solutions.
