About the role
As a Performance Test Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of healthcare payer platforms, with a strong focus on TriZetto Facets applications. You will be a valued member of the quality engineering team, working collaboratively with development, business, and client stakeholders to deliver high-performing healthcare solutions during modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
In this role, you will:
Analyze performance requirements and design performance test scenarios for Facets UI, batch processing, and integration workflows.
Develop and execute performance test scripts aligned with approved test strategies and test plans.
Conduct performance testing for in-scope functional, batch, and interface requirements.
Coordinate with project stakeholders through internal and customer review meetings to communicate testing progress and outcomes.
Lead defect triage discussions with development and business teams to drive timely resolution.
Publish regular performance test status reports, test summaries, defect metrics, and test sign-off documentation.
Support healthcare platform modernization initiatives, including cloud migrations and large-scale data processing validation.

What you need to have to be considered
4–6 years of experience in automation and performance testing.
2–4+ years of experience working in healthcare payer systems.
3–5+ years of hands-on performance testing experience with TriZetto Facets applications.
Strong experience testing UI, batch processing, and system integrations.
Experience participating in defect triage, reporting, and cross-team collaboration.
Solid understanding of healthcare business workflows and system performance expectations.
These will help you stand out
Experience supporting cloud migration or platform modernization programs.
Knowledge of healthcare data volumes, batch processing windows, and performance constraints.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present testing progress and results.
A proactive approach to identifying performance risks and optimization opportunities.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $110K - $125K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
