About the role
We are seeking a highly qualified Java Developer with min 6+ years’ experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. As a Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Java, Spring boot, AWS, AngularJS and Kafka to drive innovation and efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to impactful projects that align with the company’s vision.
In this role, you will:
Technical:
· Design and develop scalable and efficient microservices-based solutions to meet business requirements.
· Implement and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle to ensure high performance and reliability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.
· Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular JS to deliver seamless user experiences.
· Utilize AWS cloud services to deploy monitor and manage applications in a secure and scalable environment.
· Write clean maintainable and efficient code using Java Springboot and Java to ensure robust backend functionality.
· Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues to maintain system uptime and reliability.
· Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards.
· Document technical designs processes and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve system performance and capabilities.
· Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all technical implementations.

What you need to have to be considered:
· 6+ Years of proven experience.
· Demonstrate strong expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle for database management and optimization.
· Possess hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration.
· Showcase proficiency in developing microservices using Java Springboot and Java.
· Exhibit a solid understanding of front-end development using Angular JS.
· Have a proven track record of deploying and managing applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
· Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
· Show strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a hybrid work model.

· Have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

Salary and compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be between $81,000 to $120,000 per year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
