Responsibilities
Design infrastructure solutions across Windows and Unix environments that ensure high availability scalability and operational resilience for global business critical applications.Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code artifacts that streamline deployments standardize configurations and reduce manual intervention for core systems.Coordinate with application and security teams to implement hardened configurations on Windows and Unix servers that comply with enterprise policies and regulatory requirements.Integrate infrastructure workflows with Service Now to enable efficient incident problem and change management while ensuring accurate configuration item records.Investigate complex infrastructure incidents by performing structured troubleshooting across operating systems networks and middleware layers to restore services within agreed timelines.Create and maintain detailed runbooks standard operating procedures and knowledge articles that guide operations teams during incident response and routine maintenance.Plan and execute functional regression and performance testing for infrastructure changes to validate stability capacity and compatibility before production rollout.Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze capacity trends system health metrics and incident patterns so that optimization opportunities are identified and prioritized.Implement monitoring and alerting improvements for Windows and Unix components to detect anomalies early and reduce mean time to detect and mean time to resolve.Participate in change advisory and technical review discussions to assess risk define rollback approaches and verify that implementation plans are complete and testable.Support patching upgrades and vulnerability remediation for infrastructure components while coordinating with application owners to minimize service disruption.Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives by using incident root cause findings and test results to propose design enhancements and automation opportunities.Provide technical guidance to peers and partner teams by explaining design choices troubleshooting steps and testing strategies in a clear and collaborative manner.
Qualifications
Demonstrate extensive hands on experience administering and engineering Windows server platforms in enterprise environments including configuration hardening and performance tuning.Exhibit strong proficiency with Unix based systems such as Linux variants including shell usage process control file systems and resource management.Apply deep practical knowledge of Service Now modules for incident problem and change management with the ability to design efficient workflows and reports.Show proven capability in structured troubleshooting methods that use logs system metrics and diagnostic tools to isolate issues across complex infrastructure stacks.Utilize testing expertise to design and execute infrastructure test plans covering functional validation performance benchmarks and failover scenarios.Communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical partners in hybrid working setups using collaborative tools and documentation practices that support distributed teams.Leverage experience in large infrastructure environments spanning at least seven years to handle production scale challenges operational risk and continuous improvement demands.
