Job Summary
Tech lead role in a hybrid work model day shift with no travel responsible for designing and managing configuration and change management solutions using IBM Rational ClearCase Ebao plugin for ClearCase ClearQuest Doors and HP ALM to support high quality software delivery. The role drives effective collaboration among product teams and ensures audit ready lifecycle traceability.
Responsibilities
- Drive end to end configuration management using IBM Rational ClearCase to ensure consistent version control and reliable baselines across all project artifacts.
- Coordinate and optimize use of the Ebao plugin for ClearCase to streamline insurance product configuration and reduce errors in release deployments.
- Monitor repository structure and branching strategies to maintain clear traceability between requirements code changes test assets and production releases.
- Implement change management workflows in ClearQuest so that every change request is captured assessed approved and auditable throughout its lifecycle.
- Configure and maintain Doors projects to manage complex requirements with clear linkage to design code test cases and production defects.
- Integrate HP ALM with ClearCase ClearQuest and Doors to provide a unified view of requirements test coverage defect status and release readiness.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in hybrid work settings to analyze configuration issues and provide timely expert guidance that keeps delivery on schedule.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ClearCase ClearQuest Doors HP ALM and Ebao plugin usage standards and project specific conventions.
- Develop and enforce branching merging and labeling guidelines that reduce integration conflicts and improve stability of shared code lines.
- Perform root cause analysis for configuration and tooling incidents then implement preventive improvements that enhance platform reliability and team productivity.
- Guide developers testers and business analysts on effective use of lifecycle tools so they can work efficiently and maintain high quality project records.
- Coordinate day shift activities to align tool maintenance builds and deployments with project milestones while minimizing disruption to ongoing work.
- Partner with quality and compliance stakeholders to ensure all configuration and change records meet internal audit and regulatory expectations.
Qualifications
- Apply practical experience of at least three years using IBM Rational ClearCase to manage complex multi stream development environments.
- Use hands on knowledge of the Ebao plugin for ClearCase to support insurance solution development and ensure smooth synchronization with underlying repositories.
- Employ strong skills in ClearQuest administration and workflow configuration to support structured defect and change management processes.
- Utilize proven experience with Doors to model requirements traceability from business needs through design testing and implementation.
- Leverage working expertise in HP ALM to plan tests track execution manage defects and produce clear status reporting for stakeholders.
- Draw on prior exposure to hybrid work models to communicate effectively with onsite and remote team members using collaborative tooling and disciplined practices.
- Apply analytical thinking problem solving ability and clear communication skills to translate tool capabilities into practical solutions that advance business objectives.
