The Role
Cognizant helps companies modernize technology, reimagine processes and transform experiences so they stay ahead in a fast-changing world.
Our Intuitive Operations & Automation (IOA) business unit is one of Cognizant's highest growth businesses. To accelerate this growth further, IOA is expanding across industries, service lines and markets globally, with North America as a strategic growth market.
We are looking for a highly accomplished Healthcare BPO/BPaaS Service Line Specialist to drive growth and profitability across the Healthcare vertical. This leader will own an aggressive growth strategy, expand market share, deepen existing client relationships, and represent Cognizant across the Payer, Provider, Payvider and RCM services landscape.
The ideal candidate brings deep Healthcare industry expertise, strong C-level client engagement, proven new-logo hunting success, and the ability to shape BPO deals from origination through solutioning, transition and transformation planning.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive an aggressive net-new logo acquisition strategy across Payer and Provider markets, building and managing a qualified pipeline from first-call origination through signed contract.
- Target a minimum of 2-3 net-new logos annually, with deal sizes and specific quota to be discussed during the interview process.
- Independently grow existing client relationships by identifying and selling additional BPO/BPaaS solutions, RCM services and automation-led offerings to expand wallet share across Payer and Provider accounts.
- Lead the end-to-end deal lifecycle, including opportunity identification, solutioning, C-level stakeholder engagement, commercial negotiation, transition and transformation planning.
- Own growth and profitability for the Healthcare IOA vertical, balancing aggressive new-logo acquisition and account expansion with sustainable deal economics.
- Maintain active coverage and a differentiated point of view across Payer, Provider, Payvider and RCM services markets to ensure balanced pipeline development and pursuit prioritization.
- Develop and execute competitive win strategies to displace incumbent providers and position Cognizant favorably against BPS/BPO competitors in the Healthcare space.
- Define and continuously refine go-to-market plans, Healthcare IOA solution offerings and value propositions based on market intelligence, client feedback and direct pursuit experience.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Healthcare BPS delivery leadership, offshore delivery heads and Cognizant vertical BU leaders to ensure smooth deal handoff, solution credibility and long-term account health.
Qualifications
- Experience working for a leading BPS, consulting or relevant Healthcare organization, including Payer and/or Provider organizations.
- Deep Healthcare knowledge across Payer, Provider, Payvider models and RCM services, with the credibility to engage executive stakeholders in strategic growth discussions.
- Consistent record of growing a business successfully through strong client relationships, market insight and account expansion.
- Proven new-logo hunting success, including 2-3 logos with single or multiple service lines sold across Payer and Provider sectors, yielding approximately $1M-$2M per logo annually.
- Deep understanding of Digital Operations and BPS, with the ability to lead detailed BPO deal, solution, transition and transformation shaping discussions across the full deal lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to build sales and account management teams and support clients at all levels in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Significant international experience, including familiarity with global service delivery models, shared services and BPS.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience, in business management, administration or a healthcare discipline preferred.
- Travel required and will vary based on customer and prospect requirements; East Coast applicants preferred, open to U.S. candidates.
- Embodiment of the Cognizant Way to Lead: Leading Self, Leading Others and Leading the Business.
- Embodiment of Cognizant's values: Work as One, Dare to Innovate, Raise the Bar, Do the Right Thing and Own It.
