About the role
As an iOS Developer (Swift), you will make an impact by designing, developing, and enhancing mobile experiences that support millions of guests throughout their cruise journey. You will be a valued member of the Mobile Engineering team and work collaboratively with Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, Android Developers, Backend Developers, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality features for Carnival Cruise Line's guest-facing mobile applications.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
- Build new features and enhance existing functionality based on business requirements and user stories.
- Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, defect resolution, and release support activities to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Partner closely with client stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure and user-centric mobile solutions.
- Follow coding standards, Definition of Done requirements, and mobile development best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

What you need to have to be considered
- 4+ years of experience developing native iOS applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Swift.
- Experience working with SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
- Proven experience integrating REST APIs and working with JSON-based services.
- Experience using Git/GitHub for source code management and collaboration.
- Knowledge of unit testing methodologies and frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Advanced English communication skills (B2+ required; C1 preferred) with the ability to collaborate directly with client stakeholders and global teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions in a client-facing environment.
These will help you stand out
- Experience with Objective-C.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices for mobile application delivery.
- Experience with Firebase and mobile analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience optimizing mobile application performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
- Understanding of app store deployment and release management processes.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
