Job Summary
Serve as a senior developer within a hybrid work model designing and optimizing data solutions using Python and the Cloudera Data Platform for large scale analytics. Apply hands on expertise in Impala Hive and Apache Hadoop to build reliable data pipelines that power business decisions and advance the organization data driven impact on society.
Responsibilities
Develop robust data pipelines on Cloudera Data Platform that extract transform and load large scale datasets to support analytics and reporting needs across multiple business domains.Design efficient data models and storage strategies on Hadoop based environments that optimize query performance while ensuring long term scalability and maintainability.Implement complex data processing logic in Python that automates recurring workflows and reduces manual intervention for data engineering activities.Optimize Impala queries and execution plans that improve response times for analytical workloads and enable faster insight generation for stakeholders.Create and maintain Hive tables partitions and metadata structures that ensure organized reliable and discoverable data assets for downstream consumers.Collaborate with data analysts and application teams that translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver clear reproducible data solutions.Develop reusable Python utilities and frameworks that standardize data ingestion transformation and validation patterns across different projects and environments.Monitor data jobs and clusters on Cloudera platforms that proactively identify issues and coordinate timely remediation to minimize disruption to business processes.Implement data quality checks and validation routines that detect anomalies improve accuracy and build confidence in enterprise data products.Document technical designs workflows and operational procedures that enable smooth knowledge transfer and simplified maintenance for current and future team members.Perform root cause analysis on data related issues that identify underlying problems and drive sustainable fixes instead of recurring workarounds.Collaborate in code reviews and continuous integration activities that uphold coding standards improve reliability and support secure scalable deployment practices.Align development work with organizational data strategy that supports ethical data use promotes responsible analytics and contributes to socially beneficial outcomes.
Qualifications
Showcase hands on experience of four to seven years in Python development for data engineering or analytics solutions within enterprise environments.Demonstrate strong practical knowledge of Cloudera Data Platform including cluster usage resource awareness and integration of ecosystem tools.Exhibit solid skills using Hive for data warehousing including table design partition strategy and performance tuning for large datasets.Display proficiency in Impala query development that includes optimization techniques and troubleshooting of performance bottlenecks.Bring proven experience working with Apache Hadoop ecosystems that include distributed storage processing concepts and operational considerations.Apply understanding of SQL concepts and data modeling principles that support reliable design of analytical and reporting datasets.Utilize experience in version control and collaborative development practices that maintain code quality and traceability in hybrid work settings.Prefer prior exposure to big data security and governance concepts that help protect sensitive information and uphold regulatory expectations.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Cloudera Certified Associate Data Analyst or Cloudera Certified Professional Data Engineer or similar Python big data credentials
