About the Role
As a Data Analyst, you will make an impact by transforming complex data into actionable insights that help clients make informed business decisions and achieve strategic objectives. You will be a valued member of the Data & Analytics Consulting team and will work collaboratively with clients, consulting colleagues, business stakeholders, and technical delivery teams to solve complex business challenges through data-driven decision making.
In This Role, You Will:
- Translate complex datasets and analytical findings into clear, compelling stories and recommendations for business and technical stakeholders.
- Gather, cleanse, validate, and analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and actionable insights.
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Facilitate client workshops to define reporting requirements, business problems, and data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to the growth of the Data & Analytics practice through thought leadership, proposition development, knowledge sharing, community initiatives, and sales support activities.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position based in London, United Kingdom, requiring attendance at a Cognizant or client office 3 days per week. What You Must Have to Be Considered
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst within consulting, financial services, insurance, or a related industry.
- Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience querying, transforming, and analysing complex datasets.
- Experience with Python, R, or another analytics scripting language for data analysis and automation.
- Proven experience developing dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate analytical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience defining business problems, analysing data, structuring recommendations, and creating client-ready presentations.
- Understanding of data quality, data governance, and statistical concepts.
- Experience operating within Agile delivery environments and cross-functional project teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
These Will Help You Succeed
- Experience working within the General Insurance industry.
- Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions and modern data architectures.
- Exposure to machine learning, predictive analytics, or AI-enabled analytics solutions.
- Formal Business Analysis or Data Analytics certifications (e.g., IIBA, BCS/ISEB, CBAP, or equivalent).
- Experience working with global delivery teams in a matrixed environment.
