Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge of Core Java and Advanced Java (mandatory). The person should have hands-on experience in Spring Boot and good understanding of REST Assured. Experience in API test automation, including creating and running automated test scripts, is required. The candidate should also have experience working with GitHub for code management and CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment processes. Basic understanding of automation frameworks is preferred. Experience in the travel domain will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable and maintainable Selenium based automation frameworks that align with enterprise quality standards and enable efficient reuse of test assets across projects.
  • Develop comprehensive automated test suites covering functional regression integration and smoke scenarios to ensure consistent high quality releases for complex applications.
  • Execute and monitor automated test runs in day shift hybrid work model proactively analyzing failures and providing clear defect reports that accelerate resolution and reduce production issues.
  • Collaborate closely with developers product owners and other quality engineers to refine acceptance criteria testability and quality gates leading to predictable delivery outcomes.
  • Optimize test execution strategies by reducing redundant cases improving test data management and tuning automation for faster feedback cycles and better resource utilization.
  • Implement robust practices for test environment configuration and validation ensuring that automation results accurately reflect real world user behavior and usage patterns.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis of identified defects and quality gaps translating findings into actionable improvements in code automation scripts and test processes.
  • Create clear documentation for automation frameworks test strategies and execution guidelines enabling smooth onboarding of new team members and consistent cross team collaboration.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality engineering by evaluating new tools techniques and practices around Selenium automation and integrating those that provide tangible benefits.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define measurable quality metrics such as defect escape rate and automation coverage using these metrics to guide ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Engage with airline domain subject matter experts when applicable to design realistic test scenarios that reflect industry specific workflows and compliance expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to company security and compliance standards within all test automation activities so product releases support organizational trust and societal reliability.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to other quality engineers on effective Selenium automation patterns ensuring the team collectively delivers resilient and reliable test suites.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate strong hands on proficiency in Selenium based automation including framework design script development and maintenance for enterprise scale applications.
  • Exhibit solid understanding of software testing principles covering functional testing regression testing integration testing and test data management in modern delivery environments.
  • Apply practical experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines where automated tests are integrated into build workflows to provide rapid feedback.
  • Show familiarity with programming languages commonly used with Selenium and possess the ability to write clean modular and maintainable automation code that supports long term scalability.
  • Utilize experience in hybrid work models and collaborative day shift teams to coordinate effectively with cross functional partners and maintain consistent communication.
  • Leverage any exposure to airline domain processes such as booking check in and operational workflows to design test scenarios that align with real customer journeys and regulatory needs.
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving abilities in debugging automation failures investigating flaky tests and implementing robust fixes that enhance overall reliability of the suites.
  • Display effective communication skills in explaining complex automation outcomes and quality metrics to technical and nontechnical stakeholders supporting informed product decisions.
