Job Summary
Lead Quality Engineer role in a hybrid work model focused on designing and executing robust automated testing solutions using Jenkins GitHub Copilot Gitlab Playwright PyTest RestAssured and Python. The role requires seven to eleven years of experience in quality engineering with a focus on scalable automation and continuous integration pipelines that support complex enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance end to end automated test frameworks using Python PyTest Playwright and RestAssured to validate complex web and api based applications with high reliability and maintainability.
- Develop optimized test suites that integrate seamlessly with Jenkins pipelines to ensure continuous testing coverage for every code change and reduce defect leakage into production environments.
- Configure and maintain Gitlab based version control workflows that standardize branching merging and code review practices for test automation assets across distributed engineering teams.
- Utilize GitHub Copilot in a responsible way to accelerate development of automation scripts while consistently reviewing generated code for accuracy security and long term maintainability.
- Create comprehensive functional regression integration and api test scenarios that align with detailed business requirements to ensure critical user journeys are validated thoroughly before release.
- Coordinate closely with developers product analysts and site reliability specialists to identify quality risks early in the lifecycle and design suitable automated test strategies that mitigate those risks.
- Analyze test execution reports from Jenkins and other dashboards to identify recurring failure patterns unstable tests and systemic issues then drive targeted improvements in test design and application quality.
- Drive continuous improvement of test data management practices by defining reusable datasets anonymization rules and environment configurations that support repeatable and consistent automated test runs.
- Collaborate with security and performance specialists to align functional automation with non functional requirements so that quality gates consider stability resilience and compliance aspects.
- Document clear test strategies automation standards and reusable coding guidelines that help new team members adopt consistent practices and reduce onboarding time in hybrid working conditions.
- Partner with stakeholders in Finance and Accounting as well as Cards and Payments domains when applicable to translate domain specific rules validations and regulatory expectations into robust automated test coverage.
- Mentor peers on modern automation practices code quality techniques and effective use of tools such as Jenkins GitHub Copilot Gitlab and Playwright to uplift overall quality engineering maturity across the team.
- Report concise yet insightful quality metrics to project partners highlighting defect trends automation coverage and release readiness so that informed decisions can be made for each deployment.
Qualifications
- Possess seven to eleven years of experience in quality engineering with a strong focus on designing implementing and maintaining automated tests using Python PyTest Playwright and RestAssured across large scale applications.
- Demonstrate hands on expertise in configuring Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration of test automation suites including job orchestration environment configuration and artifact management in hybrid delivery models.
- Show solid practical experience with Gitlab and related source control concepts such as branches merge requests and code reviews applied consistently to automation frameworks and test data assets.
- Exhibit proven ability to leverage GitHub Copilot or comparable coding assistance tools in a responsible way to increase productivity while maintaining human oversight on logic security and coding standards.
- Bring exposure to Finance and Accounting or Cards and Payments domains where automated tests were used to validate complex business rules reconciliations and regulatory obligations when such experience is available.
- Display strong analytical debugging and communication abilities that support rapid investigation of test failures clear defect reporting and effective collaboration with cross functional engineering and product teams.
- Adapt comfortably to a hybrid work model and day shift schedule while using remote friendly practices clear documentation and proactive communication to maintain consistent delivery of high quality outcomes.
