We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect with experience in GIS Data Modelling Opensource GIS Architecture and ESRI GIS Architecture. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing GIS solutions that align with our company's goals. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of day shifts and does not require travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex technology solutions, including but not limited to:
- GIS Solution, Spatial data modelling and analysis, Geospatial data integration and management and Location-based services (LBS)
- Cloud-native applications and microservices architectures
- Data warehousing and business intelligence solutions, Remote sensing and image processing and Geospatial data visualization and reporting
- Cybersecurity and data privacy solutions
- Design and implement comprehensive GIS solutions using the ArcGIS suite of products and ArcGIS development Technologies
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concept projects to evaluate new technologies and solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and implementation plans.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices for data quality, accuracy, and security in development and GIS environments.
Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Solution Architect and GIS Architect.
- Extensive experience with ArcGIS and the ArcGIS suite of products, and expertise in one or more GIS platforms (e.g., QGIS, GeoServer).
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS
- Proficiency in Microsoft development technologies (e.g., .NET, C#, ASP.NET), web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React), and mobile development (iOS, Android).
- Strong understanding of GIS principles, geospatial data formats (e.g., Shapefile, GeoJSON, GeoTIFF), database technologies (relational and NoSQL), and data warehousing principles.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, web mapping frameworks (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox GL JS), geospatial data science, machine learning techniques, remote sensing, and image processing software.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and relevant industry certifications (e.g., Esri Certified Professional).
