About the role
As a Mortgage Consultant – Servicing Process Documentation, you will make an impact by driving current‑state documentation assessments, taxonomy design, and enterprise repository setup during the Foundation phase of large‑scale mortgage transformation initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant Consulting Mortgage & Lending team, working collaboratively with client stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to support a GenAI‑assisted reverse‑engineering proof of concept focused on extracting and validating business rules.
In this role, you will:
Drive current‑state documentation assessments, including taxonomy design and enterprise documentation repository setup
Partner with technical and business stakeholders to support a GenAI‑assisted reverse‑engineering by validating extracted business rules (Mortgage Servicing, related Compliance, etc.)
Support the Foundation phase by establishing structured documentation standards and organizing enterprise artifacts
Gather and document business and functional requirements using BRD/FRD artifacts
Write high‑quality User Stories and support Agile/Scrum delivery teams through clear and actionable requirements

What you must have to be considered
6–10 years of Business Analyst experience with strong US mortgage servicing and compliance related domain knowledge
Proven experience in requirements gathering and documentation using BRD/FRD formats
Proficiency in writing User Stories and working within Agile/Scrum delivery models
Strong analytical skills to document and structure complex current‑state environments
Experience collaborating with technical teams and enterprise stakeholders
These will help you succeed
Exposure to legacy code reverse engineering or business rule extraction initiatives
Experience supporting AI‑ or GenAI‑enabled transformation programs
Having expertise in other mortgage areas such as Originations and Delinquency management will be a plus.
Strong documentation, taxonomy design, and enterprise repository management skills
