Job Summary
Principal Software Engineer role for an MNC requiring twelve to fourteen years of experience in building complex enterprise applications using Core Java and Java related technologies & NTAC. The position operates in a hybrid work model during day shifts and involves no travel focusing on designing scalable systems that advance business outcomes and deliver reliable customer value.
Responsibilities
Domain Experience in NDC Order NDC Air Offer
- Design scalable and resilient Core Java applications that support critical business capabilities and ensure high availability for global users
- Develop clean modular and reusable Java code that adheres to internal coding standards and improves long term maintainability
- Optimize application performance by profiling Core Java components and resolving bottlenecks across memory usage and response times
- Review pull requests and provide constructive code feedback that improves quality security and consistency across multiple engineering squads
- Collaborate with product managers and architects to refine requirements into detailed technical solutions that align with enterprise strategies
- Integrate Java services with databases and internal platforms by implementing robust data access layers and secure service interfaces
- Establish automated unit integration and regression tests for Java components that increase deployment confidence and reduce production defects
- Guide peers on Core Java best practices through hands on support that raises overall engineering capability and delivery effectiveness
- Coordinate with site reliability and infrastructure teams to ensure Java applications operate efficiently in hybrid deployment environments
- Create detailed technical documentation covering architecture design patterns and deployment procedures that support knowledge sharing and onboarding
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify complex legacy Java modules and reduce operational risk for business critical systems
- Collaborate with cybersecurity partners to implement secure coding practices in Java and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Participate in backlog refinement sprint planning and reviews to ensure Java deliverables are clearly scoped and achievable within agreed timelines
- Analyze production incidents related to Java services and implement permanent fixes that improve stability and user satisfaction
Qualifications
- Demonstrate twelve to fourteen years of hands on experience in Core Java development including object oriented design concurrency and collections
- Apply strong experience with enterprise Java frameworks and build tools to deliver robust modular and testable software components
- Use solid understanding of software engineering principles including design patterns and refactoring techniques to maintain high code quality
- Exhibit practical experience with automated testing and continuous integration pipelines that support frequent and reliable Java deployments
- Show familiarity with relational databases and query optimization as they relate to Java data access layers in large scale systems
- Bring proven experience in working within hybrid work models and collaborating effectively across distributed cross functional engineering teams
- Display strong communication and mentoring skills that help explain complex Java concepts and influence consistent engineering practices
