Job Summary
This hybrid Sr Software Engineer B2 role focuses on designing developing and enhancing secure and scalable applications using Core Java and Java based frameworks Linux NTAC. The engineer will collaborate with cross functional partners drive high quality code delivery and support continuous improvement of systems that impact customers and business outcomes across global markets.
Responsibilities
Domain Experience-Links NDC Order
- Design robust Java based services and components that support scalable enterprise applications while ensuring alignment with architectural standards and performance expectations.
- Develop clean efficient and maintainable Core Java code that adheres to internal coding guidelines and industry best practices to reduce defects and improve long term sustainability.
- Implement end to end features in Java applications from requirement analysis through deployment to production environments ensuring functionality meets business and user expectations.
- Perform detailed code reviews for peer submissions to improve quality maintain consistency in coding patterns and reduce production incidents.
- Optimize application performance by profiling Java components analyzing bottlenecks and implementing improvements that enhance response times and resource usage.
- Collaborate closely with product managers business analysts and quality engineers to translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for Java modules integration points and system configurations to support future maintenance and onboarding.
- Ensure application stability and security by implementing error handling logging and secure coding practices that protect data and comply with organizational standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as planning refinement and retrospectives to contribute technical insights and improve delivery processes.
- Troubleshoot complex issues in development and testing environments by analyzing logs debugging Java code and coordinating with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery practices by configuring build pipelines and ensuring Java applications are reliably built tested and deployed.
- Partner with infrastructure and platform teams to integrate Java services with databases messaging systems and external APIs while maintaining resilience and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers through constructive feedback and knowledge sharing on Core Java techniques design patterns and best practices to uplift team capability.
Qualifications
- Utilize four to six years of professional experience in Core Java development to design effective solutions for complex business problems.
- Apply strong understanding of object oriented programming concepts to build modular reusable and testable Java components that simplify future enhancements.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Java based frameworks and libraries to accelerate feature delivery and maintain consistent application architecture.
- Employ practical experience with unit testing and integration testing tools to validate Java code quality and reduce defects before release.
- Use working knowledge of relational databases and SQL in combination with Java persistence layers to manage data access efficiently and securely.
- Draw upon experience in Agile or iterative development environments to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver incremental value.
- Leverage familiarity with version control systems and branching strategies to manage code changes safely and support collaborative development.
- Apply strong debugging and problem solving skills to investigate issues in Java applications and provide clear data driven resolutions.
- Utilize effective communication and documentation abilities to explain technical concepts clearly to peers and non technical partners in a hybrid work setting.
- Adapt to hybrid working arrangements by using collaboration tools and disciplined self management to maintain productivity and team alignment.
